My HTPC is really, really set up well. I have 3.5 tb of space completely filled with TV shows, movies, music videos, etc. I even have a full 2 gb set up for classic commercials (like old MTV bumpers and stuff) that I can put into a giant playlist to simulate TV. It's really awesome being able to basically program your own TV channel and have it follow you from TV to TV.
I use a Gyration MCE Remote, which also functions like a wiimote when you press a button in the middle, moving the mouse on screen. I've done a shitload of stuff to it, including writing a ton of programs to make running different emulators seemless -- along with the ability for controls to automap depending on what controller converter I use (i.e. If I plug an SNES controller into a USB adapter, and it's the only controller plugged in, it'll act as controller 1 in every game I have, but if I pop a Sega Genesis controller in alongside it, it'll automatically remap the SNES controller to player 2 when playing Sega games, and map the Sega controller to player 2 when playing SNES games, and I've got converters for every system I own from Dreamcast to N64 to Neo Geo) but I'm about to go out, so I'll throw down more info on my setup later on.
