Games on the genesis that deserved a sequel.

In your opinion,what games were so great that they deserved a sequel? or a good enough to be a franchise? to me:

boogerman (at least a sequel)
ristar
GUNSTAR HEROES.
sunset riders (I know its an arcade game but.... )
kid chamelon, It think that this game had potential to be a great franchise.
castlevania! at least one more game on the genesis.

Gunstar Heroes actually did have sequel on the GBA, called "Gunstar Super Heroes".

There is a spiritual sequel called Mystic Warriors. You play as ninjas instead of cowboys. It wasn't ported to consoles, however.

What about Robocop Versus The Terminator, thats a good game. Or a good port of Valis II would do.

Truxton got a sequel in arcades, only got ported to FM Towns Marty.

Did you ever play McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure? Before you start laughing, it was the game that Treasure did just prior to Dynamite Headdy, and the gameplay is kinda similar (you shoot a scarf out of your wrist to grab on to higher areas like Headdy does with his head) except without the "change heads" mechanic and it's more of a proper platformer than Headdy is. But you should be able to find it pretty cheap, I'd recommend at least giving it a shot.

You guys are mentioning a ton of games that did, indeed, get a proper sequel (albeit outside the Genesis).

Yeah, that games looks cool! It looks like it was at least somewhat playable, too. I wonder how close it was to being finished?

Besides the X-Men games, I would like sequels to Herzog Zwei, Battletech, Comix Zone, Cyberball, and the planned Mutant League sequels (basketball and racing).
