Fun UK Order

I ordered a few things today that I've been wanting from a cool UK web store. I've wanted a PAR2 for a while just for fun. I have a couple of Game Genies. While I was at it he had some other Euro exclusive titles. These all seemed reasonably priced and the shipping was cheap.

Wikipedia says that Nintendo got exclusive rights to Maui Mallard in the US. There is a Japanese version of Fantasy Zone but it's considerably more expensive than the PAL version. I've heard Worms is a pretty lame port but I figured it might as well get thrown in the lot for good measure.

My understanding is that it has built in codes or a code finder or something or other. I have a PAR2 for SNES and have been wanting one for Mega Drive (and Master System for that matter). I am not even sure what I gain from it over a Game Genie. It's just that the Genesis is my favorite console. I have a decent paying job and have all but stopped buying modern games.

Thats a decent looking website - with decent priced as well. They have SOTN on Saturn for £40!

Several small improvements.
- The aforementioned built-in codes for many games (80 or 100 titles, though I could be mistaken there),
- The ability to search for codes (or changes within certain adresses) by allowing you to search, for example, for changes in a set number of lifes, the size of a life bar etc.
- The ability to enter more codes at once (I think the first PAR already allowed somewhat up to 20 codes, the PAR2 allowed far more than that).

Also I think the option to choose what region the plugged in game was from had been improved as well, though I could be mistaken there.

I've bought stuff from them before, good service. The "sold out" items make me cringe a bit though - someone got a £50 PAL Samurai Shodown CD and £65 PAL Fatal Fury Special, and it wasn't me. :(

Mega Drive Worms is just awful. Jawful. If they'd made it mouse compatible it would've redeemed it somewhat, but of course they did not.

Mega Drive PAR2 is my favourite Datel product. The region selection thing can be useful but I've found it a bit hit and miss, especially for use with NTSC consoles - some games you'll just need region codes. The built in codes are useful - not sure how many are for Euro games, though. The code finder is simple enough to use (albeit a bit tedious) if you follow the instructions in the manual, I found my own codes for several games and I'm generally useless at such things. The only real problem I've had is it appears not to work properly with the Sega Nomad.

Yeah I saw Fatal Fury and Samuri Shodown on there, I just hope it wasn't some evilbay reseller that got them at that silly price.

Thanks. Worms was cheap and it was just as cheap shipping wise to add it to the lot. Hopefully my SCART setup will help with the small sprites that I heard were an issue.

His 20 GBP PAR2 was the cheapest I've seen it. People typically ask for 30 or more. The last one I saw listed was for 50 GBP and the seller outright said that the switch on the side did not toggle. How silly.

Wow, they have a lot of Master System titles. Has anyone in the US ordered from them?

I haven't received my order yet but I'm in the US. He seems like a very nice guy. My stuff went out the day after I placed my order. 4 games shipped for 7 GBP.

Awesome, I'm looking forward to hearing how it went. My experience is that it usually takes a while for stuff to get from the UK to the US, but that certainly isn't the sellers fault. I'd buy a lot more from there if the exchange rate wasn't awful.

The prices on some of the stuff they have seems pretty good, will definitely look into buying some stuff from them in the future.
