Now you mention it, some of the cut scene's audio were more bugged in the GC port, there was more of a delay and sometimes two of the same track would play at the same time. (The above cut scene is perhaps the most notorious for it, that as well as the final scene before the end credits sequence).
I remember magazines talking about extra graphic problems in the Gamecube ports, instead of addressing the problems that were already in the DC versions.
Yea, I heard the GC version had more issues then the DC version as well(all kinds of graphic glitches, and such).
Not really. Halo and COD play nothing like eachother, be it maps or weapons. Crysis uses your suit's abilities as part of the challenge of getting through a level. Bulletstorm relies on using a tool called a leash, that you grab enemies with and fling or punch where ever you want. Bionic Commando (not the old arcade/NES game) allows you to grapple enemies and buildings, to work your way through levels.Quote:

I always have and always will think of Goldeneye as the most over-rated FPS to ever grace a console. It's not that good.
Goldeneye's my litmus test on whether I take someone's opinions on the FPS genre seriously. If someone still considers it among the very best, it's clear they don't play PC games or play the genre at more than a casual level.

I look at it this way. When The Simpsons came out, it set the world on fire. People thought it was the greatest thing ever, and it was edgy and funny. But guess what happened after that first season? The show improved. The writing got sharper, the characters became more defined, and the animation got way better as the show's budget increased.
Now answer me this: can you watch seasons 4-6 (the highlights of the series, as far as most people are concerned) and then go back to Season 1 and say it's still better?

Many people in this thread don't seem to be aware of the existence of other FPS out there than the latest CoD, MoH, Halo and Battlefield. Probably because the aforementioned are overhyped to the point of overshadowing all the other games. I don't expect you to know everything about the latest games, since this is after all a retro gaming forum, and the Genesis isn't exactly big on FPS games, but at least do some research before spouting uneducated nonsense.

As for the Gamecube I wish I could be more positive toward it, but by then I'd long grew tired of Ninty updates, it was dissapointment after disappointment, Nintendo really rested on there IP laurels that gen, its no strange fact the best title on the system was a Sega collaboration, F-Zero GX, that really felt like it pushed the series into overdrive, Metroid Prime was pretty sweet as well. But I just can't be arsed with long adventures anymore, and when I do finish something, its just life on repeat going through them a second time. I sold my GC two years after purchase, and its the only console I've never regretted selling.

After the amazing Super Nintendo, the nintendo 64 felt short and kinda rushed. Also, The PSX had so many more better and mature games.
The nintendo 64 was the time when nintendo started to go down the drain. After that time, nintendo has never been the same again. It has always been a fight generation after generation to try to make something as special as Super Nintendo. SNES was the last good nintendo consoles. It is a shame that with all the new technology, nintendo can not really keep up with todays standards.
A helluva lot of people must still think the Simpson is hilarious, they continue to make them after all.
The way I see it season 5 had all the hallmarks of low quality Simpsons writing, there was a preponderance of famous guest stars written into the episodes who had no relevance to the plots, there was a lot of "wacky" episodes which put the characters into ridiculous situations that had no resemblance to reality, characters started popping up randomly to deliver punchlines in places they had no reason to be (such as in people's houses), Homer started acting mentally disabled, Marge's IQ also took a nosedive etc

I think Bart Gets An Elephant is a weaker episode of The Simpsons, but it does contain enough character development to the point of being a worthwhile watch, pretty much any episode that contains Bart learning actual life lessons and being more than just a 'bad kid' is worth a watch since they become so rare as it goes on.
My two favourite episodes are easily Lisa's Pony & Radioactive Man, though.
