The Adventure Rebirth
I've ranked the titles I own in order of how much I enjoy playing them. I do not dislike any of these titles, but I like the ones at the top of the list much more than those on the bottom. Also, I'd love to pick up the rest of the GBA games as well as Dracula X for SNES (I don't own a PCE).

Castlevania (NES)
Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse (NES)
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (GBA)

Super Castlevania IV (SNES)
The Castlevania Adventure (GB)
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest (NES)
Castlevania: Lament of Innocence (PS2)
I've never played a Castlevania game I didn't like. It's one of the best series in all of video games.
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest (nes)
Castlevania III: Belmont's Revenge (nes)
Super Castlevania IV (snes)
Castlevania Bloodlines (gen)
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (psx)

Castlevania Chronicles (psx)
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (gba)
Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance (gba)
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (gba)
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (ds)
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (ds)
I just need Rondo and Ecclesia. I have no intention of getting the 3D ones.
Castlevania (NES) - good but hard (level 5...)
The Adventure (GB) - okay but so slow...
Super Castlevania IV (SNES) - best 2d Castlevania
Bloodlines (Gen) - okay game, but nowhere near as good as IV
Castlevania (N64) - good game
Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness (N64) - best 3d Castlevania
Chronicles (PS1) - good but hard
Circle of the Moon (GBA) - good metroidvania
Lament of Innocence (PS2) - bad game
Curse of Darkness (Xbox) - also a bad game
Aria of Sorrow (GBA) - okay to good
Dawn of Sorrow (DS) - same as above
Portrait of Ruin (DS) - pretty good game, my first metroidvania
Dracula X: Rondo of Blood (Wii Virtual Console) - great game, 2nd best 2d game in the series
Dracula X Chronicles (PSP) - great collection!
The Adventure ReBirth (WiiWare) - very good classic-style 2d Castlevania.
Order of Ecclesia (DS) - one of the best metroidvanias
Missing: Lords of Shadow (I don't have a PS3 or 360), II and III for the NES, II and Legends for Game Boy, Harmony of Dissonance, Dracula X for SNES, the 2d XBLA one.
Castlevania (NES)
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest (NES)
Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse (NES)
The Castlevania Adventure (GB)
Super Castlevania IV (SNES)
Castlevania (N64)

I really need to get the Belmont's Revenge, the GBA/DS titles, and of course Symphony of the Night. LoI is not making me hopeful for the other PS2 and the Xbox title...
Castlevania (NES)
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest (NES)
Super Castlevania IV (SNES)
I grew up with these ones. I keep thinking about buying other castlevania games but they cost so much and typically find another game I want that is cheaper.
