I was replacing the capacitors in my VA3 Genesis. Everything was fine until I changed c40, c42, c44, c61, and c62. I am no longer hearing any PCM audio. Any suggestions?

Are you sure you got the polarities correct on the new caps and are you sure you replaced them with the same values?
Make sure you didn't crack any cap solder pads. Test for continuity and such.
Caps are definently the right type and soldered in the right way. I'll have to check for lifted or torn pads.
Pads look okay. Which capacitor is connected to the PCM pin on the YM2612?
There is no PCM pins on the YM. PCM and FM sound both come out from same output on it. If you mean MegaCD PCM then those are separate business from the YM.
I'm quite certain that it might also be that you somehow messed stuff going to Z80. Games that only use Z80 to make PCM sound will remain silent on that channel.
cheers!
Thanks for the tip about the Z80. I fount that there were some cold solder joints on the caps around the Z80'that caused the issue.
