That's right, In 1985 some idiot from Swiss came up with the idea of creating a unique water slide ride in a theme park called Vernon Township, that after a month it was finished. The ride was consider to be so unplanned, like they didn't fully think it threw when designing it and dangerous, it got shut down instantly.

Always wanted to try it, but never got a chance to go to Action Park.My brother said the park was dangerous enough even without that ride.
That ain't scary - scary was Six Flags Georgia in the early 80's. The place was poorly maintained and falling apart - more than half the rides were shut down because they were no longer safe. The main roller coaster (I think it was the Mind Bender) was closed when I got there, but people were waiting in line for it, so I joined the queue. About an hour later, they sent a group of cars without riders off to see if it was working yet - the cars made it about 2/3rds of the way up the first hill, they came crashing back down to the start... the sound of the crash was deafening. Half the line in the queue disappeared at that point, but I stayed. About an hour later, they sent another group of cars... they made it over the hill and went off down the track... and never came back! Half of the remaining line disappeared at that point. Funny thing is, they went ahead and started the ride at that point. Let me tell you, I made it through without a scratch, but the whole ride the car felt like it was about to fly off the tracks.
The whole park was that way... rides shut down for obvious reasons, or looking like they SHOULD be shut down.

No sir, public school since birth. I do enjoy the fresh out doors with the pool always being there and the arcade store worth driving towards many times on the weekends.

Ha ha, I've seen that ride before, and missing seats to boot. They always claim it happened while they were testing it (yeah right). Another thing that's fun is hearing about a ride you once rode COLLAPSING, and getting that sense of pride mingled with horror, knowing you survived it. The one I'm talking about is those giant rings with the coaster that goes back and forth before spinning around inside it. Me and my dad rode one of those even though we were a bit leery about it. Later he told me about that same ride collapsing just as the carts reached the top of the ring. (We had joked about that also while we rode it)
I remember going to Opry Land before they turned it into a hotel resort and we rode this big roller coaster that was pretty wild, multiple loops etc. But then we got on this smaller, older coaster that didn't go as fast, but we thought was even scarier, because it was such a piece of shit and didn't have any restraints. :D
