My all time favorite console. Purchased it back in 1987 or 1988 (not sure). Huge fan. I have over 78 CIB titles for it. (Hopefully to expand in the near future).

I enjoy it very much so. I just have a hard time finding games for it for reasonable prices.
In the wild (at least in the US) they are nearly impossible to come across. A few Retro Game stores have a few but it is really underrepresented.
I guess I was lucky. We had a Kay Bee toys in the mall that carried a decent selection of games for the system. Yes Phantasy Star had my brother and I giddy with anticipation. If I recall correctly we paid $89.99 US for it. Well worth it by the time we got into the game. It was an amazing step upwards for us as we were nearing completion of Miracle Warriors.
I have finished my collection of the US games, and a few EU games :) but they are not all CIB, Im missing 6 manuals, but im not that worried :) http://i.imgur.com/WD6TxGh.jpg?1 http://i.imgur.com/5cxNyel.jpg
Nice, reminds me of a few I still need to pick up.
gorgeous pics doug!
this was my first console (brother never let me play the atari 400 till later, heh), so much love for it. i'm still finding gems to play.
Thanks for the complements! The Master System is one of my favorite systems, but I lost my controllers so I made me an adapter to use the Neo Geo AES controllers :) Also if any one has not done so you have to get the FM board for the system, I find my self playing Outrun a lot just for the FM music ( I still suck at the game )
Outrun was great. I traded a stack of comics for that one with a classmate of mine. Some of those comics are valuable now probably. Oh, well.
Anyone else use their Master System pads as replacement 7800 controllers? I remember them working very well. Hmm, actually, I need to replace my 7800, but I'm afraid to see what they're going for right now. Buying old video games used to be considered budget gaming not that long ago, but that topic is a thoroughly flogged corpse I'm sure.
I agree! If you're a big Sega Master System fan you should take a look at the FM Sound board.
I installed one myself (with very little experience) and I'm really glad I did.
