I don't he meant milked dry, but just being milked in general.I consider a franchise milked when there are too many iterations that play the same released in too in a short amount of a time.

The term "milked" is short for "milked dry."
Well if it is that isn't how I use it. In the present tense I would say that Activision is milking the Call of Duty franchise. In the past I would say that Sega milked the Sonic franchise. When you're milking a cow you say you are milking a cow, when the cow is dry you then say you milked the cow dry.
Either way, I stand by what I said, I consider milking a franchise releasing more than two or three sequels in the same generation or within five years. But if the same developer can release two new games for every sequel they are doing it right.
Solely your reasoning, and flawed at that.
The games I mentioned have been milked to the point of exhaustion over the years, and I have played plenty of Madden and party games. The pokemon and pikachu games never piqued my interest, but I have seen too many in used stores and thrifts so know of overabundance.
I stand by my claim that Madden is the same game year after year, save new camera angles, ability top trade players, and new player stats. Nothing I would spend extra for on an annual basis.
Lmao at anyone that thinks Smash Bros was milked, it's had 3 iterations since it's debut on N64, and annual WWE titles are fine, the last few installments bring new engine enhancements, different storyline modes, and WWE has such a huge revolving door of on-screen talent that theres always plenty new people worth adding in.
You forgot Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. The sequel looks promising as well. I also like Sonic Riders but not the sequels that came after it. I loved the drifting in the first one. In terms of other recent releases, I tried out Sonic 4 Episode I and in my initial impression, I simply couldn't enjoy it. It didn't run as smooth as all the other 2D Sonic games. I really hate how it stops you from spinning when you launch in the air, leaving you vulnerable. That was pretty annoying but I think they've addressed that in Episode II.
*facepalm*

And Sonic.. except they do churn out the occasionally good Sonic game every now and then.
I remember reading a story about how during the last year before they killed Guitar Hero, they had actually put out a full dozen versions.
Mega Man isn't so bad compared to series like Sonic. Even during the Genesis' lifespan Sega put out at least a dozen Sonic games.
To mention that abomination is to blaspheme :P
