Do you mean anniversary or the actual first TR game?, and a new Last Ninja game would be awesome.

Madden's a sports game, they can't not make a new one yearly. It's too bad EA doesn't endeavour to perfect the formula rather than merely cycling through a bunch of haphazard variations their games have included for the last twenty years (whatever it is). Tetris on the other hand was perfect out of the gate, there was now need to go crap it up w/ all kinds of knockoffs, it could just have been the original Tetris plus extra modes in every new edition rather than displacing the original with inferior versions for over twenty years.

El Oh El indeed at Tz101. I think he's just got a hate-on for Nintendo, or he's only remembering those franchises in their entirety plus the associated hype. SSB has only had three entries, with the last being released in 2008. That's nowhere close to a milked franchise. Mario Party does have 9 console entries and two on handhelds, but after Mario Party 7, the series really fell off the map... Probably due to Hudson Soft closing. There's rather big time gaps between the releases of Mario Part 7, 8 and 9. That's a sign of a declining franchise.

Also, my personal vote is for the modern Lego games by Traveller's Tales. Yeah, they're actually decent non-sports games and all, but there's like 10 separate entries in the series now! The original Lego Star Wars was a unique breath of fresh air in an under-utilized license (Lego), the next couple games were nice, but the same thing over and over and over and over and over again is really, really, really, really, REALLY getting OLD! I remember a time when Lego games were built in different genres and were based on actual Lego themes and not licensed material...
