The new 360 slim works great, but we'll see for how long.
I have the MGS bundle PS3 with backwards compatibility and just like the 360 it's been well cared for. It's been pretty solid the entire time, but the fans on it are getting really loud and I have a feeling it's going die any day soon(my friend has the same bundle and his died a couple months ago). I'm looking forward to a price drop so I can pick up a slim and not worry about the thermal paste on this continuing to dry out and overheat, sub $200 and I'll probably bite.
I bought a PS2 near launch and it's lasted a long time, but I've also had to do disc read error fixes on it at least 3 times over the last 10+ years. My original PS1 had to be placed sideways to work near the end of it's life, I bought a PSOne (redesign) and it's been doing an admiral job when I use it.
Now, for my SNES and Genesis systems, the biggest problem I've ever had with them is a bad power plug, or possibly the cracked solder joint for the connector on the board.
You tell me which of these listed I'll still be able to play games for on the original hardware in 30 years, I'm pretty sure I know which ones they'll be.
