Your Genesis Mt. Rushmore

I got this idea from Steve. If the Genesis were to receive a Mt. Rushmore type monument, which four Sega characters should be represented in your opinion?

The ones you pick should be the best and brightest of the bunch; four figures that represent the Genesis really well, and in your opinion every Genesis gamer should have at least one game of each of the characters you've picked. Here are mine:

Sonic the Hedgehog 2- Out of the Genesis Sonic games, the one I enjoyed most (Sonic)

Streets of Rage 2- The quintessential beat em up (Axel)

Rocket Knight Adventures- A fun, colorful, and fast sidescroller (Sparkster)

Shinobi III- I believe this game is the cornerstone of the series, and one of the most fun games on the system. (Joe Musashi)

I'm not from the US, but aren't there only four faces on Mount Rushmore, not five?

And isn't this just another generic "Must-Have games for the Genesis"-list, just in a slightly different phrasing?

Strider - Abraham Lincoln. Both dealt with assassins. You win some; you lose some.

I forgot about Altered Beast. That was an important Genesis title, being a pack-in and all.

That would actually be kind of cool to see the Altered Beast's werewolf head on a mountain.

Landstalker, Shining Force, Phantasy Star II, Beyond Oasis. I'd rather group similar genres together than have 4 random games.

This thread would be a lot better if it were "characters" instead of games. Like some of the posters are doing.
