My last ever thread?

Hi all

may i say thankyou to the people that make this community what it was, i loved my time here and found it invaluable fopr sega info and resources. The mods have made this place unlivable for me and Baloo in particular wants me out, he seems to love banning me a little too much

I hope in the future some lighter humored mods are appointed to oppose the killjoy ones that are here, its now a place where i dare not try any humor

my last ban was the final straw, even other members commented that i had did nothing to warrant a ban. What can you do when a mod has it in for you? Im no arse licker . You wont find me trying to please a mod just to be allowed here

Yeah a lot of people do seem to get booted off here. It's unfortunate considering the retro Sega niche community isn't exactly growing or anything.

Just go to Sega Age, that place is a bit more chill.

That's a shame man. I don't fault Baloo for doing what he was asked (and he was asked because the previous moderating was very lax) but it makes me wonder whether any of these people reporting rough yet harmless jokes are those who actually participate on the forums or whether they just lurk and whine. You've been far from offensive, nor do I believe I'm the only member who'd rather read little joking jabs of bar level discourtesy over endless giant pictures of yao ming//michael jackson//whoever-the-fuck or a bunch of lame memes any of which is twice as insulting as jokes such as yours and others'.

Good luck elsewhere and don't pay over the moon for too many horrid PAL games.

Thing is.. You don't attempt humor, you attempt trolling, but you're not very good at it so it comes off as insulting most of the time.

Still, Baloo is just doing his job. If you don't want to be banned then don't go overboard with offensive trolling.

Funny, I don't feel that this site has become overly-moderated at ALL ( at least in comparison to other forums I've been on). Baloo could certainly stand to chill out a bit, but for the most part we have it pretty easy here.

As a side note, I read this thread title and came in with the intention of calling you out for being an overly-dramatic attention whore (like that other member who knows who he is), but I see this "good bye" post has a bit more gumption than others of its kind, and that I can get behind. If Melf really wanted this site to become over-moderated, than I'm sure I'd have heard from more than one mod by now.

considering this Site currently only has two mods (Joe and Baloo) plus Ken as the Admin, I'd say it's very overly Dramatic indeed if he States "the mods" are against him, especially since they only act upon notification.

I'm already counting the days until someone complains again that this place wouldn't be moderated enough...
