You have excellent taste. Nicholson was THE Joker! Only Heath Ledger came close but it's still no contest. ;)

Nope. Mark Hamill.

But one thing I hope we can all agree on is that Jared Leto is the worst Joker. I think he's a good actor and all, but sheesh, he is such a wimpy Joker. Nicholson had that over the top charisma, Ledger had the dark sense of danger bubbling beneath the surface, and Hamill's Joker had the light-hearted zaniness of the 60s series combined with a genuine dangerous insanity that gives him a dark side. Leto just plays it so dainty and aloof; there's no gravitas in his performance.
Ah yes, I always forget about Mark Hamill's Joker from the animated series. Excellent voice acting and portrayal of genuinely dangerous, yet darkly comedic, insanity.
But, but... but what about Leto Joker’s face tattoos? And his grill?
I'm sick of the Joker to be honest, mainly because of the character's over saturation in the media of late, though I liked Jack Nicholson in the role.
I remember Robert Picardo as Johnny Cab too. I'm now going to get my arse to check out Invaders From Mars.
I just remembered something funny (to me, you may have to have been there): Me and my bro were talking about different actors playing roles that wouldn't suit them and we came round to Richard E Grant in Total Recall. I started repeating in his voice...
'Get your arse to Mars, drbdrbdrb, get your arse to Mars...' Instead of ass. My brother just nailed it with (in his voice again and manipulating his cheeks with his hands) ...
'A fortnight, a fortnight!'
Clue (1985)
This film is another all-time favourite of mine. Based on the classic boardgame of the same name (well the same name in America that is, the game is called Cluedo over here) it's brilliantly clever and genuinely funny with a great cast. It also boasts multiple endings. So on the DVD you can choose to watch the film with one of the three possible endings selected at random each time you watch it, and trust me, this film gets better which each viewing. I highly recommend it!
Tim Curry was amazing in anything. Even The Worst Witch. I watched that movie as a kid. Tim Curry was my childhood as he was in EVERYTHING. Last Fernfully or Worst Witch to Legend or Oliver. Films aimed at kids or adults, I watched them all. Even in the bad films, he gave it his all. IT wasn't very good but he was excellent in it. That is a man I cannot fault for anything he ever did.
He could have become a true great but somehow he fell off the radar, he was amazing in Legend.
I watched Home Alone 2 with the kids last Christmas, and Tim Curry was pretty much the only good thing about that movie.
