The Lion King is my favourite Disney film too. I was so excited waiting to play it on my Mega Drive when I got it for Christmas '94. :)

Lion King is on GoG.com if you want.
Mrs. Armitage and I went to this today and in contrast to a lot of the reviews we enjoyed it a lot. Easily the best of the predator sequels - equal to original in quality - but much different (think Alien/Aliens here). Lots of action, humor (much of it very dark) and more than a passing nod to the A-Team (of all things) with a dysfunctional group of guys accidentally recruited into the action. Probably the best movie we have seen this summer.
We also saw the trailer for Aquaman - that looks really promising.
Curse of the Cat People, Bad Girls in the Movies, Tales from the Quadead zone. All good for different reasons but not necessarily actually good. Also watched Mandy, which was more actually good than the others.
Just watched 'Avengers: Infinity War'. All in all I liked it. It's pretty obviously only 'part 1' of the story.
I guess we're probably not allowed to discuss/mention too much about newer films ('spoilers')?
Today we had the misfortune to go see Assassination Nation. It just blew chunks - unless you have a masochistic streak avoid it like the plague.

This movie was ok I didn’t think it was that great. Something just seems off with the pacing in this movie and I didn’t think the acting was good, nonetheless it was still somewhat enjoyable
It didnt have the magic. It was a good story though, just poorly written.
I kinda liked it

The 90s companion to Dazed and Confused, except with more nihilism. Phenomenal film and one of my top ten favorites. Amazing that it took almost two decades to get an actual DVD release.
To Catch A Killer (1992)
This is an excellent made for TV film that tells the story of the investigation into, and eventual arrest, of infamous US serial killer, John Wayne Gacy. Brian Dennehy gives the performance of his career as Gacy, who murdered 33 young men and boys in Chicago, Illinois, throughout the late 70's and early 80's. Dennehy is both charming and charismatic, as well as utterly terrifying in his portrayal as Gacy, showing that he really did his homework on the guy. This film was originally split into two parts when it was originally aired so it's total running time is 3hrs plus, but don't let that put you off. If you are interested in true crime, as I am, this is an excellently accurate portrayal of what took place. I first saw this when I was a kid and it scared the shit out of me. This wasn't some made up monster in a work of fiction, this was a real living breathing person who was regarded as a pillar of the community where he lived. Gacy eventually answered for his horrific crimes by being executed via lethal injection in 1994.
