Book of Eli. Very good... however the whole time I was watching it I kept thinking 'This is Hokuto No Ken... with books', which is funny since I just found out that the guy who wrote it did the screenplay for the now dropped Hollywood Akira remake.
Pretty sure he had Fist in mind...
Like, peoples heads explode and shit?
I should check that out now.
But Shutter Island, I saw it.
And it was great, until they get to the part where EVERYTHING IS EXPLAINED AT ONCE. If it just would have shut the fuck up a bit more it would have been a near perfect film.
I just watched Be Kind Rewind, it was pretty funny indeed.
I've seen probably about 100 movies since the beginning of the year, but the last one I watched was "The Land of the Lost." I'd have to say that critics "can suck it." Seriously. This movie rules in so many ways. It reminded me so much of Futurama (senseless sci fi fun with a dash of intelligence). I haven't had this much fun with a slacker sci fi film since Galaxy Quest. I lmao throughout its entirety. Awesome.
The last movie I watched was Serial Mom, probably one of the funniest movies I've seen. I first saw this movie when I was about 11 or 12, and 15 years later, it's just as hilarious as ever. Never has the idea of a killer housewife been so well realized!
last movie i watched was The Green Mile
She's Out Of My League

Saw Green Zone last Friday.
Pretty solid film, although the ending was too concilliatory imo

great 80 s comedy
is that movie in 3d NO but your face is
Iron Man 2 - Again. Much better in theatres with DTS, the action doesn't drag so long.
Family Guy: Something, Something, Something Dark Side - Had some good jokes, but I preferred the table read in the special features because there was a good atmosphere.
Fast and Furious - Okay, I preferred Tokyo Drift.
Invention of Lying - Didn't know it was about religion. Didn't think it was funny, got very depressed watching it.
Paris Blues - Great movie with Paul Newman and Sidney Poitier. I don't know why it doesn't come up as a classic all the time. Almost as good as the Hustler.
Nikita - Great. Better than Point of No Return despite being almost shot for shot the same. Pretty serious movie.
The last movie I watched was Be Kind Rewind that landed in my mailbox yesterday. Pretty nice movie I must say, especially for movie makers (like me).
This might not be the right thread, but I picked this one up a couple of days ago on Södermalm in Stockholm - A Pioner CLD-990! Now I'm not 100 % HD-Dvd and Blu-Ray, I'm going Laserdisc! :D
I can't wait to watch The Terminator and Pulp Fiction on this beauty!
