OUT OF THE PAST - Robert Mitchum is bloody awesome. :ok:

Cars 2 was a mess of random characters doing random things. Paul Newmans character wasn't shown because he's passed on. George Carlin has also passed, but HIS character gets a horrible imitator, only because they needed him for a joke at the end about a subplot. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAH.
And Cars died. DIED. A body count in a CARS movie.
And there was a car with no windshield. Think about the eyes. NO WINDSHIELD.
The Toy Story short was WAY better than the actual film.
I was still entertained by Cars though, even if it never needed to be made.
I saw Transformers 3 yesterday with a friend, and I really didn't enjoy it at all. I wasn't expecting much of course, but I still found it just really stupid and boring. I think my problem with it is that, this is just a weird thing about me, but action scenes in movies often don't do anything for me, I just find them boring. And since that's what like half the movie was, it just dragged on and on for me. And the worst part is it wasn't even so bad it's good, it was just boring. I do enjoy truly terrible movies, but this wasn't that bad. Meh, I'm really not the audience for that movie I guess.
On the other hand, on Tuesday I saw Return of the King Extended Edition in the theater, and that was an amazing experience. I saw all 3 LotR movies in the theater when I was a kid, and knowing that this was likely the last time I'd ever see them in a theater, I had to go (I saw Two Towers and RotK, but I missed Fellowship unfortunately). To put it in perspective, this movie was 4 and a half hours, and I never got bored like I did in T3, which was only 2.5 hours. The best part was that everyone who was there was at the film because it meant something to them, so there were no people whispering or being obnoxious during the film, everyone was respectful. In fact, I think that movie had the largest number of people staying until the end of the credits that I've ever seen. It was really cool being able to be a part of that and see something that meant so much to me one last time in theaters :)
I'm still recovering from Green Lantern
Watched since:
The Adjustment Bureau - Loved it
Season of the Witch - Way way better than every single review says out there. I'm thinking it's the detriment of the movies Cage has released around this one that made it so ill-fated in the eyes of the critics and, sadly, the viewers. But the movie is a simple but fun popcorn flick that doesn't falter.
Unknown - It might've been captivating to watch in 1995. Nowadays that plot is just... "known."
Watched The Boost on MGM HD last night. Great sleazeball performance from James Woods as usual.

Finally saw The King's Speech. I liked it, but it seems a bit overrated. It's a masterpiece, of course, but it just seems like people have really overblown it's greatness.
I also saw Cowboy Bebop: The Movie, which looked beautiful and was pretty much a 2 hour long, high budget Cowboy Bebop episode. Not like that's a bad thing, quite the contrary.
Season of the Witch was solid. I was told it was another Wicker Man where Cage knows he's in a shit film so plays it like a dark comedy, but it was actually pretty worth watching.
And Unknown just made me mad. I didn't even want to go see it, but someone paid for my ticket so in I went....BRIEFCASE.
Also, I showed the GF Audition, expecting some sort of gasp or otherwise leaving the room. She not only made it through like a man, she actually liked it. I may have found a keeper.
Crank 2 - That's just the kind of mayhem I want to watch when I want an action flick.
wow, saw two amazing rather recent Van Damme movies "IN HELL" where he goes to a russian prison, and "WAKE OF DEATH" where he is an L.A. cop, real gritty awesome movie, I like both and cant pick which one is better, I'd say its about preference. I have been in jail so I can understand the prison movie, and Wake of Death is just awesome in your face action movie stuff.
I'll say it twice. CAPTAIN AMERICA FUCKING ROCKED! It's going on like it's going be a pretty good comic book movie, but it hits a point of "oh shit...did that just happen?" that really turns it up a couple notches. The Avengers is only 10 months away!
Last night, I watched In line of Fire starring Clint Eastwood which is a good movie, than after that I watched 2001: A Space Odyssey...
My god, 2001: A Space Odyssey was very slow paced, I really got tried watching it due to SSSLLLOWWW moments. I would have fast forward it but it was my first time watching it and some might have narrative speaking and I don't want accidentally skip it. Don't get me wrong, I agree that it's classic and was way ahead of it time due to special effects and serious sci-fi stuff when it first came out. I know it was one of few sega-16 member's fav five movies, again it really didn't age very well due to slow paced moments that I had to suffered watching it due to fact that I might have short attention span or something. Still it's a good movie and I found some moments really interesting such as hal's fear and few others.
However my attention span is not short or long, 2001: A Space Odyssey is one of those movies I won't be coming back watching it for long time.
I would rather watch aliens instead, definitely much more pleasing choice when it comes to space Sci-Fi movies.
Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows - Part 2 (Best installment in the series since part 1)
Captain America - Held its own, which is more than I can say about Green Lantern.
The Lincoln Lawyer
Rango
Insidious
