I forgot about that line where the sheriff calls his deputy an asshole. That and the whole "My dad was caught in the fireplace" monologue got the biggest laughs.

I actually enjoyed Sherlock Holmes 2 more than the first one. Both were very entertaining.
2 overdoes the slomo shit though. Especially in the woods.

Finally got round to watching this
Saw Nighthawks (1981) the other night.
Stallone against Rutger Hauer, it's practically a movie frozen in time. Great pacing, lots of suspense, very good fun.
I wanted so much for this movie to succeed. The animation is superb, too bad the overall response was rather meh. A sequel? Highly unlikely, just like The Golden Compass, which was far better than all of this Harry Potter overhyped trash.Quote:

I loved the books, and couldn't believe that they are classed as teen books (my thirteen year old Sister in Law told me about them). I watched the first one and went straight online to see about the sequel and was surprised when read that there would be none.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo remake is pretty great, and is not a shot for shot remake of the Swedish version.
Is it better or worse than the Swedish version?
