So is anyone watching the new "Cosmos"?
Watched Pacific Rim.
That's 2 hours I can't get back.
American Hustle.
It was alright.
Saw the Amazing Spiderman 2 over the weekend.
I just wanted to get out of my place and do something, didn't have a major drive to go see it as I was afraid it was going to go all Spiderman 3 on the series. Wasn't horrible, wasn't great. They made some really odd choices in the movie, but it had pretty good action at the least.
The "Story" if you want to call it that, was a bit of a mess. It was really the weakest part of the whole movie by far, even by the generally uneven comic book movie standards.
Watched Transcendence. Pretty good, slow at the beginning but it gets better. Not what you would expect from a skynet type.
Old Boy
I can't believe I found this movie in my local Dollarama! Glad I decided to check the row of Blue-rays and DVDs. Among the crap there was a gem!
^Which one?
Sandman was well portrayed though!
but yeah, Eric Foreman playing this guy..

Instead of Spiderman Vs Venom it felt more like "which nerd is nerdier? the battle for the tiny nerd trophy begins!"
We watched Olympus is Fallen on Netflix last night. I had a harder time suspending disbelief than in all of the Bayformers movies combined. A massive cargo jet made rounds with chain guns in Washington D.C.. All "we" had to shoot back with was rifles, ONE Surface to air Missile launcher (oh noes teh jet has counter measures!), and two fighter jets that wanted to talk to the unauthorized pilot rather than hang back with missiles locked. Then, not only does a flash mob from North Korea basically walk into the White House killing everybody in their path, but Mr. "This is SPARTA!" followed them in without being shot. Die Hard didn't seem to have any intros that set the "hero" in such an unlikely scenario.
Lol, north Korea invading America. Their troops would be too busy surrendering and asking for asylum to storm the white house.
I just watched "Oh, God!" (1977) and what an unbelievably great movie! It's so sad that I heard about this movie just now which is no wonder considering that it's pretty controversial.
I just recently saw 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street, and was pleasantly surprised by how funny they were. I was avoiding the series, and was practically implored by friends and co-workers to give it a chance. I'm glad I did. I wasn't expecting to be entertained by another throwback from the 80s, and I wasn't expecting Channing Tatum to be as funny as he is in these movies. It's been a while since I've watched a hollywood comedy that I could easily recommend.
