Ever seen the A&E P&P? (It's code, haha!)
Are you saying you have? The whole thing? Without being tied down? Yes, I love it, but never though any guys would appreciate it.
I've actually seen it multiple times without being tied down. (I'm a closet Jane Austen fan.) If only there were a video game... :p
I think you are out of the closet now. As for a video game, HERESY! I do not want to see Emma with a chain gun or Mr. Darcy platforming.
The Sims: Austen Edition. =P
I disliked the Gwyneth Paltrow Emma, personally.
To each his (or her) own.
Pirates 2: Dead Mans Chest:
DAMN! This was one fun movie! It was over 2 hours long, but it's got such a good flow you'll never really find your self asking "Is it over yet?". Johnny Depp is offcially one of the best actors of our time. A couple parts do get kind of too convienent, but it still works. Simply put, I can't wait for Memorial Day next year.
Robocop
I rented this one the other night. I haven't seen it in years. Still a very good movie.
Mean Girls
Not as bad as I thought it'd be. Very funny in some parts, and it gives a good message overall, even with a slightly unrealistic plot.
I haven't seen this one yet, but I get a kick out of movies like Clueless and Bring It On. Usually includes pretty good comedy and you get to look at really hot girls as a bonus. I imagine I'd like Mean Girls.Quote:

Ice Age 2 - Not as good as the original, but Scrat ROCKS!! BTW, didn't the Ice Age last for a million years?
Cars - Better than I expected it to be. The "twists" weren't all that twisted, but the movie has it's moments.
The Corpse Bride - A great movie, and the spiritual successor to The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Wallad & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit - I LOVED it.
...that's my story & I'm stickin' to it...
Little Miss Sunshine
Holy Shit! This has to be one of the best movies i've ever seen! So good I watched it twice in a row, something i've never done before! You're either laughing or starting to feel bad, until the movie thorws in another awesome scene to make sure you laugh once every 3 minutes. Steve Carell is awesome, and I realized that night who Paul Dano was and why he'll probably be a star one day.
Just awesome performances all around, and original ideas around a not so original plot ( quirky family road-trip movie).
I loved this movie!
SNAKES ON A PLANE!!!
THE ABSOLUTE BEST $6 I EVER WASTED
IT WAS FREAKING AWESOME
don't see it alone
Watched a number of films in the past while..
Ring ... I'd heard a lot of good things about the Japanese original, but seeing this now after having watched the remake years ago, it had very little impact. Overall, I think the story was handled better with the Americanized edition, and the better production values up the tension of "the videotape" and such. Still worth watching, but inferior to the remake in my opinion.
Lucky Number Slevin ... Bahh. Sure, it was entertaining, but nothing special. An elaborate set-up with poor payoff.
Suicide Club ... I'm not too sure about this one. The over-the-top gore is if anything amusing, and the film can't be easily understood without a fair bit of insight into Japanese culture. Unusual, but not so twisted as to be particularly memorable.
Ichi The Killer ... I'd heard about this one for awhile, all sorts of things having to do with gratuitous violence and general shock value. Yeah, yeah.. they were all pretty well correct. Some very interesting characters, and a moderately light-hearted feel in spite of the fact that utterly terrible things are inflicted upon people.
Primer ... One really interesting film, this one. Watched it, waited a few hours, and watched it again. A very inventive take on the mechanics and consequences of time travel that I highly recommend.
High Tension ... While it drags its feet through the intro, once the atrocious acts of violence begin, this movie just cooks. I was transfixed by the truly shocking things that happen to the hapless victims, but the film stumbles a bit with its plot twist. Horrifying scenes of blood and gore and an atmosphere that lives up to the name.
...And recently rewatched..
Super Troopers ... still hilarious.
Some Kind Of Monster ... still depressing.
Yeah spongebob is great for kids youre age,BTW do you know Spongebob Beerbelly or spongebob Beerpance (Bierpance in Dutch thats Beerbelly in English)Anyhoe he’s really coolio to and trews up at times and drinks like 10 pitchers of beer i think Spongebob Beerpance is the excelent movie for you.No Terminator that’s my best movie or how about The never ending Stroryyyyy y y y y y y y y Yuck that intro sucked naah i actually didnt like it How about Metall mice From Hell. My favourites would probably be Donnie Darko, the Cowboy Bebop movie, Gladiator and The Lawnmower Man. The list is probably longer but those are the ones that come to mind. Lawnmower Man has a bad reputation but I like the CGI scenes in it.
My friend has The Wall (both the movie and my copy of the CDs), he loves it. I should get him to lend it to me so I can watch.
My favorites are
-Braveheart
-Star Wars Episodes 3 - 6
-The Lord of the Rings trilogy
-Forrest Gump
-Life of Brian
Have a few faves. Apocolypse Now is a biggie. Always remember when I was a kid watching it for the first time & being haunted by The Doors - The End playing it in. Scarface & Taxi Driver are a couple of others. Recent films I'd have to say Forrest Gump is pretty good.
My ten current favorites:
1. Old Boy
2. China Town
3. LOTR Trilogy
4. Apocalypse Now Redux
5. Alien
6. Indian Jones and the Last Crusade
7. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
8. Serenity
9. Good Night, And Good Luck
10. Shawshank Redemption
1. Angel Heart/Eraserhead
2. Munich
3. Saving Private Ryan
4. The Killer
5. Bullet In The Head
6. Enter The Dragon/Fist Of Fury (also known as The Chinese Connection)
7. The Crow
8. Jacob's Ladder
9. Legend
10. Die Hard
I saw Jacobīs Ladder for the first time last year. I was surprised to see that Konami "borrowed" quite a lot of it for Silent Hill 3. Good Movie indeed.Quote:

Hmmm
The Exorcist
Blow
The Mighty Ducks
Van Wilder
Aliens
Carlito's Way
American Psycho
Beetlejuice
Batman
The Shining
The Exorcist is definatly one of my favs. It is still scary to this day with its great camera work, horrifying music, and how it lingers in your mind.
Why The Evil Dead Trilogy of course. Ash is really just an ordinary guy stuck in this extraordinary situation that only gets worse, including his own stupidity. In the end, the poor guy just wants to go home.
Honorable mention:
The Shawshank Redemption & Dark City
Damn, how could I forgot those! Iīm still hoping for a post-apocalyptic Evil Dead 4!Quote:

Yes, the creators of Silent Hill have said that Jacob's Ladder was a big inspiration for the creation of the original Silent Hill and the creators are "big fans" of the movie! If you liked that, watch Angel Heart, similar sorta film, but far superior, the film inspired the classic movie, Se7en by David Fincher, Angel heart is said to be one of his all time faves too.Quote:

Forbidden Zone -- Great, bizarre Danny Elfman musical. Always entertaining to watch.
Nightmare Before Christmas -- I am a Danny Elfman whore. Still love the movie even though it's been adopted by Hot Topic and goth kids. :(
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure -- Timeless comedy and without 80's "cheese," fashion aside.
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan -- Surprisingly brilliant movie. Love the symbolism and Khan is such a terrific villain.
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker -- I love Batman. This is a great film and the best one featuring Batman in any shape or form.
PeeWee's Big Adventure -- Another always enjoyable comedy. Great visuals and terrific Elfman soundtrack.
Hunt For Red October -- I see this as an underwater Wrath of Khan. Great performances and story make it a winner.
Ghost in the Shell -- Not a huge Japanese animation fan (Akira sucks), but this is a smartly written if somewhat slow moving picture that's amazing to look at.
Citizen Kane -- Generally regardless as the best movie ever. I don't know about that, but it is a great movie nonetheless.
Shawshank Redemption -- Wasn't this recently voted the best movie that no one ever pans?
Training Day needs to be mentioned.
I forgot to mention in my first post 24 Hour Party People and Once Were Warriors. I probably enjoyed the former more than your average person because I'm a fan of Joy Division and New Order. The latter is a really powerful movie, not one you'd watch to relax.
Battle Royale
I still couldn't believe Netflix had this when I looked out of the blue. This is one AWESOME movie. If you're into a real violent "everyone dies" type of movies, look here. I was alos pleasently suprised with Kitano being the villian (aka Vic Romano from MXC)
I watched The Long Good Friday the other night after about 18 years. Not bad, not half as violent as gangster films today. The language was pretty restrained as well. It's a bit like Essex Boys or Gangster No1 but the kids will have to leave the room a couple of times when you watch it.
Donnie Darko
Although I can see why this movie has such a cult following, I'm not joining. I liked it okay, it just wasn't a huge favorite of mine. Still a great movie though.
That was a pretty good film, although subtitles always annoy me.Quote:

If they had Japanese people speaking English then that would have been good, but if they had accents that would have destroyed the entire film. Does anybody know what the sequel is like?
Yes, it sucks, I am a HUGE BR fan as well! It takes me a lot to say this but: do NOT watch it, you will be disappointed by it, big time.
Saw a few movies recently
Big Trouble in Little China: Superb ***1/2
Howling III: Weird. Not bad, but not good either **
Commando: Solid Arnold film, but too campy at times **1/2
Alien Nation: Okay, but seemed uneven at times**
The Running Man: The great media satire ***
Total Recall: Film good humor good action ***
