I asked him before I ordered and he got back to me that he is able to deliver with a PSU with a European style plug. I didn't have to pay extra. Granted, the type of plug is not really a big deal but having an EU one is always one less hassle to worry about so if your order hasn't yet been shipped I would enquire about changing your PSU's to the standard 2 prong European ones.

The price is fine considering what you are getting but delivery charges are a bit on the steep side - I think I paid like 10 GBP for postage. Then again, I have heard that the cost of UK postage has increased considerably over the last couple of years so maybe thats just how thinks are.

First time i paid: Shipping and handling - £14,49 GBP - For 2 consoles. (Sun 01 dec 2013)
Second time i paid: Shipping and handling - £5,98 GBP - For 2 consoles. (Sat 21 dec 2013)

According to him: "Shipping is cheaper because of a change in shipping pricing and policy on this item - before it was expensive signed for shipping only, but now there is a cheaper basic airmail option without tracking."

Basic airmail is definietly the more sensible shipping option here - ultimately the MD clone is not an object of any special value and besides post services within Europe and at least from my experience in a great many other countires generally functions fine and these extra cost shipping options are not usually worth the added expense / hassle.

Correct. What i do hate is that shipping from UK to Sweden is cheap. But the other way around is about x2. Make no sense. Another wierd thing is postage from China. For the most part even regular un tracked mail works great but some sellers all "economy" postage keeps disappear.

EDIT: I got an answer from him about the power supply. He did not have any EU ones. :confused: :daze:

I would imagine that being a UK seller, he doesn't have the machines with the EU PSU in stock and has to order them on a special request basis from his supplier.

Let us know how you get on with the hacks. The one I got and gave as a Christmas present looked damn good on the family's 27" Sony Trinitron TV and that was just through composite so I think the system has some good potential.

From the videos, the audio sounds pretty nice. Could someone with one of these record something like Streets of Rage straight out of the audio output so we can hear what it really sounds like?

Just out of interest: what lines are extended to the AV connector on the side of the console? Is it only composite video and mono audio or are other lines also connected to the female connector in the console? If so, which ones?
