I beat the game last Saturday. Great work. It was awesome to finally being able to play the game in full english (I beat it before with just the text translation).
Anyway, this is kind of a major deal. Not many games get fan dubs (shit, I can't even name one). Let alone on the TG16. If anything, I'd expect to see this sort of thing on PSX games or such. Even if Burnt L (who headed this project) doesn't do anymore dubs, I'm seriously thinking of picking up a dub project myself (for PCE CD of course :P ).

PCE cd probably has lots of great stuff that needs dubbing.

Since we're on Sega16 I'd note that a lot of MegaCDs could benefit from a translation job as well ;)

I beat the game myself today and agree that this was awesome. It's like a real US release in pretty much every way. Hell, the acting in most parts is probably better than what we would have gotten if NEC had done it themselves. The ending insinuates that this game takes place before Ys 3.

I gotta say, as a long time Ys fan, this is FANTASTIC news!
