You don't need to act like a dick to make your point. If you read my previous post with some attention it will be clear that I was aware of that.
However, you're forcing this stupid criterion of "without touching the arcade ports" while you're talking about a game that is ridiculously trying to imitate what SNK and Capcom arcade fighting games were. So it just sounds beyond stupid and hypocritical when you try to point Fighting Spirit as an "advantage" of the Amiga over the X68000 simply 'cause it's a rip off rather than a proper arcade game.
I'm not Kamahl's lawyer, it's just that you're using some childish criteria and distorting the strengths and weakness of both systems.
Your delusional and self-assertive approach just contributes to show how much shit you're saying.
You're clearly showing your preference for quantity against quality and that's fine with me. However, don't expect everybody will agree with you.
Some people, like me or Kamahl will care about the quality of such arcade ports rather than just counting them...
Another thing that you're using here to backup your weak arguments is the cost effectiveness. Well, I never brought this into the discussion since it all started talking about which library had more good games. I know that you already raped the concept of "good game" but in the minded world it has nothing to do with price/cost. So you can spend your money as you want but it really doesn't matter in a discussion about games library quality (do you understand that quality and affordability are different things, right?).
If you weren't so ignorant about the X68000 library you'd know that its Final Fight is nowhere near arcade perfect. It has some major flaws and actually the Mega CD version is clearly better in some aspects. One of them and which affects hugely the gameplay is that the X68000 has a very limited number of enemies on screen.
And, oh boy, the music sucks in comparison.
I didn't use the term arcade perfect in my previous posts and I usually avoid it 'cause it has been widely whored out by stupid people. This same sort of people are the ones who, in a discussions about two old systems, bring up this "superseded" argument using today's collections released for several other systems.
It's a very stupid argument 'cause: 1)Those systems didn't even exist in the past. 2)We're not talking about such systems. 3)The today's collections will often use just cheapo emulation rather than proper porting the games; but you certainly don't care about it since the number of released games is what matters to you, right?
What your preference for Streets of Rage II over Final Fight has to do with this discussion and why you brought up Hard Corps is beyond me, really. It might make a lot of sense in Alice in Wonderland though...
Oh, this stupid argument again. Cool.
But maybe people not used with the low standards of the Amiga arcade ports will care about the tons of art content and animation frames that the MD version of Daimakaimura is lacking compared to the X68000 version.
Oh, you're questioning the stupid concept that was brought to the discussion by yourself? Wonderful.
Again, your ignorance shows up...
First, the X68000 emulators are far from being "perfect" or even reliable enough to be used to judge how the games actually run on the system.
Also, since you're now comparing the X68000 with the Mega Drive, maybe you should know that, despite having the same title, MD and X68000 versions of The Newzealand Story are very different since the first is based on the Extra version and the later on the original one.
And the original one is far better than the Extra version; it's better balanced, has better art design and it's funnier to play.
Finally, about Atomic Runner, the MD version does have far superior graphics, BUT it was totally censored and presents a butchered version of the original art concept and story. The X68000 still remains as the only port faithful to the arcade.
Oh, that stupid misplaced argument one more time...
Sure... Its premier Super Hang-On runs like an old lizard compared to the X68000, which is far more faithful to the arcade and still gives you analog controls, like on the arcade.
MD's port of Atomic Robo-Kid is just laughable compared to the X68000's. The same for Viewpoint (so butchered and slow on the MD).
Street Fighter games are also faaaar superior on the X68000. The same for Daimakaimura. The same for Kyukyoku Tiger.
To not talk about After Burner, Space Harrier and Thunder Blade.
And just a reminder:
pre·mier [pri-meer, -myeer, pree-meer]
adjective
3.
first in rank; chief; leading.
4.
first in time; earliest; oldest.
You're pretty wrong, again.
Yeah and irrelevant to the discussion.
You mad?
You couldn't handle the discussion with the Amiga so you brought up Mega Drive... But you still couldn't handle it so you brought up the Neo Geo. Nice.
The little problem with your well-informed suggestion is that most of the X68000 arcade ports aren't on the Neo Geo.
What are you actually supposed to excel at? (outside of brain farting self-assertive deluded "arguments" and lack of knowledge of course)
Now go back to your 12 FPS adventure games. Please...
I have already addressed Atomic Runner above...
Mercs has far worse colors, is missing a lot of of graphic details and lacks the 2P mode.
Chiki Chiki Boys looks and sounds great but also lacks the 2P mode.
That is what you call "arcade perfect"?
