XBLA one does have some audio glitches from what I remember. The red skeletons come to mind.

We were two pages into the thread when you posted this, and your question has already been generally answered twice (as TrekkiesUnite said).
Forum protip: read at least a few pages of a thread before responding in it, especially when it's only two pages long, or else you will get flames twice on the next page.
SOTN is still IMO the best Castlevania game. Has everything going for it (gameplay, music, design, art, etc.). Now the later Metroidvania games I found them to be cookie cutters to be honest.
I thought Circle of the Moon was outstanding. I think the response to that game was a little muted because it was hard to see on the original shitty GBA screen.
The DS ones were certainly cookie-cutter, though. I was puzzled by all the gushing Dawn of Sorrow got. I enjoyed it well enough, but it was a bit stale.
Circle of the Moon is my 2nd favorite Metroid-vania...I don't know why it gets shitted on.
Glad to see some people give CotM some credit. It will always be my favorite Castlevania game, it just has the best sense of scale of scale and realism out of any game in the series.I wish they would have progressed with that game's tone with future titles.People gushed over Aria of Sorrow/Dawn of Sorrow because of the awful art style, the games themselves were very average in my opinion.
Reasons why I like CoTM so much:
-It's the first exploration type castlevania game (aka metroidvania) that has the atmosphere and feel of a traditional castlevania games.
-I prefer the hard difficulty of this game. Other CV games of this style are way too easy.
-I like the different play modes (fighter mode my fav), which made me beat this 5 times.
-Tons of secret rooms--something I love in these type of games.
-The card system is awesome.
-It remixes some of my favorite tracks from older CV titles.
-It's just very fun and addicting.
Yeah Circle of the Moon is awesome, definitely my second favorite Metroidvania (after SoTN, obviously). It was the first GBA game I bought, too. I stupidly got rid of it at some point, and I really need to pick up another copy. Bet it would look super slick on my Game Boy Micro. I only ever played it on the original model GBA.
The card system is great fun.
I also want to play the new Castlevania(GBA、NDS)
But ... I SEGA FAN
There's only one Castlevania game in all of Sega's past consoles. You'd be missing out.
I'm asking for trouble, but I gotta speak from my heart:
SOTN > Super Metroid
