It was a budget release, yeah. But you know how used game collecting works, I'm sure! A cursory look at eBay listings shows most auctions starting in the 40 dollar range, with buy-it-nows anywhere from 50 to 70 bucks. Wish I'd grabbed it for 20 bucks when it was new, I don't know if I'd really care to spend 50+ on it, to be honest.

I downloaded it to my PSP not too long ago for $5 (or however much PSN sells it for). I know how most of us feel about emulation and digital distribution, but that seems to be the best way to play it until we all get lucky enough to find it for cheap.

You can play without a patch, just find a guide online.The only thing you'll miss is the story, and it isn't that good.

I find it tedious to play as Alucard with all the items and whatnot in Japanese. I only play as Richter or Maria in the Saturn version.

Which I still think it is one of the best character artworks out there. There's so much detail in the artwork I can look at it for hours.
