As I mentioned a few pages back, this thread made me go out and pick up Circle of the Moon. It's an awesome game, just as good as I remember.
... But it really just makes me want to play Symphony of the Night again. Wish I had my PSX stuff up here, maybe even more than I wish I had my Genesis stuff. Blasphemy, I know.
^I wouldn't mind playing through Symphony of the Night all over again myself. I did that with all three DS Castlevanias and it was well worth it.
I'm saving the "Richter Belmont playthrough" for a special occasion; perhaps next summer when I get some time off.
Yeah, I've never played through as Richter, either. Need to do that sometime. Maybe I'll save it for next Halloween season!
You do know that's a statement all of its own, right? If you were to say that Super Metroid was "better than" or "leagues ahead of" Symphony of the Night, then you'd actually be disagreeing with me. But when you actually say: "I consider Super Metroid to be one of the greatest 16-bit games ever," I'd add I have zero issue with that statement and completely and fully agree with it.
^I have no problem with your opinion, I was just protecting my own through the quote you chose from me. ;)
If I hadn't, it would've been left as though I diskliked Super Metroid or something based on your reply.
[EDIT] Perhaps it is I who should've started his first setence with: "Although Super Metroid is one of the best games of the 16 bit era, I think Symphony of the Night is..."
They're both great games. I love each for different reasons.
