Seasons greetings, everyone! While the residents of Sega-16 may be spread throughout the many timezones of the world, at this moment it is most probably still Christmas for everyone that cares to celebrate it. May everyone give some awesome gifts, receive some stellar gaming gear, and generally have a merry day!
I didn't get much gaming stuff... other than $100 I'm going to put towards gaming, and a gamestop gift card.
A few shirts, bodywash, car stuff, a Quiznos Gift Card... and something coming from QVC.
Personally I hate Christmas and do not celebrate it, but I wish everybody on here a great day and hope you all enjoy the annual festivities.
I, however, do NOT hate Christmas and instead revel in it's hedonistic splendor. When I'm not at work, I mean.
At any rate, happy-whatever-you-celebrate to you and yours.
I wish everyone a "God Jul" as we say in Sweden. I dislike the fact that the Christians stole the heathen holiday "Yule" and tried to make it their own. Otherwise I like this holiday.
Haha, I just got the BEST christmas present... I passed all of my classes!
Fuck yeah! The past semister I was battling personal problems, slacking off, and bored to tears, but in the end I passed and holy shit.... I'm still in shock.

Apparently I'm hard to buy gifts for - I got some personal hygeine stuff, a 4Gb memory card for my phone, enough assorted sweet stuff to make me diabetic for a month, and a super sexy vintage leather jacket with fingercut gloves (seriously, thanks Grandad).
Also, i'm single again, ouch.
I have to admit that I think it was remarkably clever of the early Christians to absorb pagan holidays like they did. But that would be giving them credit for doing it. I imagine it was more of just two cultures colliding and merging than a purposeful holiday absorption.
Anyway, I didn't get too much gaming stuff, but I did get the Complete Calvin and Hobbes, which I think I may like more.
I heard something about it being some minor holiday that the Romans already celebrated.
And I got my thing from QVC tonight.. a real 14K gold chain.

I got some clothes and perfume, but I also got around $200 in games, thanks to my dad and an unexpected Christmas bonus. My wife got me some snuggly pajamas, which rock. :)
I got a copy of Mansion of Hidden Souls (sega cd) for christmas, so that was quite awesome. Cool game, but a bit short (took about 2 hours to beat in one sitting).
In other gaming news, my two younger brothers got a Nintendo Wii. I've been playing that off and on. I like the Dragon Ball Z game on there (used to watch the show back in the day). I'm looking forward to see what the Wii will come up with as more and more games come out for it.
