As nice as low prices are for buying games, pricing too low ends up devaluing the item in question. Genesis systems go for pennies because nobody wants them. Everyone wants a SNES, so they cost more. That's my biggest problem with the used games market, the Genesis doesn't get any respect. Genesis stuff is more likely to end up in the trash than SNES stuff because it's not worth as much and there's not enough people buying. I would actually prefer slightly higher prices, because then people would value Genesis stuff more.
I'd hate to see villahed post in here, he's got a really wacky perspective on the Genesis market. :?
