My button combos don't work.
You can change your controls if needed... pretty easy.
Playing with a keyboard builds character. This is better than I though. Yeah, I was creaming over this game, but the last time I gave a shit about a fanmade game, I... well you know the rest! :P
No, I mean in Streets of Rage 2 (which this game pretty much is) I can (while facing right) press right, right, attack and my character says "Grab the paw!" and does a kick ass uppercut. Doesn't work here.
Odd, it works for me. I won't be able to play it too much, due to me reformatting soon and work. :(
Oh man that was so wonderfully pure and awesome.
I love the people who made this and if ever they need an organ transplant I have several superflous family members I would be happy to sacrifice.
I haven't enjoyed a game that much in such a long time. Easily the best bit of freeware ever.
Although my only minor critisim came when this happened:

Now, it's a bit buggy around the edges, but they WILL be fixed in due time. The version just released is a "beta test" after all. It's another "beta" but it appears to be nearly complete as-is. At least it isn't one of Derek Smart's games, where they are always buggy, even after 100 patches. I've only had a few compliants.
So yeah, it's a sweet game, and I'm now looking for more freeware games!
The best gaming franchise never revisited by SEGA, has now been. And what a game it is. I take my hat off to all of those involved in this game, in fact, I am going to join the forums just to thank them, personally.
I don't need Streets Of Rage 4 anymore, it feels fully complete now.
Excellent. The 2P AI seems rough around the edges - I always seem to get stuck on the diagonally-scroling bits - but it's an excellent package altogether.
I just wish it was a new Streets of Rage game instead of just Streets of Rage 2 with new music.

You can't run in SoR2.
You can't face Rudra or Super Shiva in SoR2.
There are no unlockable secrets in SoR2.
There are no alternate character palettes in SoR2.
There are no cutscenes in SoR2.
There are no guns to use in SoR2.

There is no survival mode in SoR2.
I didn't realise it was a beta test (maybe I should read things before I download them). In that case I have no complaints at all. SoRR really is a bloody awesome game and I hope this inspires more folks to do other Mega Drive game remakes.Quote:

I turn the guns off. Guns don't belong in a beat 'em up.
We'll have a full article on this tomorrow. :)
I got to level five and it glitched on me... oh well, it was fun. I'll be a day or so until I go back.
Awesome otherwise.
