I was watching a video of Mickey Mania for Sega CD and noticed a few neat graphical tricks, like the rotating crane at 1:24 and the spinning tower level at 3:32.
I'm aware of Gunstar Heroes and The Adventures of Batman & Robin and I'm amazed how they really push the hardware.
Can anyone suggest other games that do neat effects like those games?

Kawasaki Superbike is seriously impressive. The road looks like it's made out of polygons, too, as opposed to the Outrun-style skewing road typically used.
The effect in Mickey Mania on the Sega CD is the same exact effect as on the cartridge format. There are zero differences in graphics between the two (only in the music, sound effects, extra level and change in one furniture item in the ghost level). I, too, was amazed by the cylinder effects; but only until I saw the full version of those graphics better exploited in the PlayStation version.
As far as I know the ground is line scrolling just like Outrun, but the buildings are polygons. It's the same engine as Formula One by Domark, I just like the screen tilting in Kawasaki.Quote:

The building effect in Mickey Mania is the same as the SNES version if I recall as well and was used in plenty of NES games. I'm not sure how it works though.
It could be they're using an Outrun style road with polygons for some of the road markings. Like the one on the left at 1.32 and the big colored arrows pointing forwards at 1:52.Quote:

I discovered Kawasaki Superbike about a year ago and found it to be VERY impressive.
It throws around a decent amount of polygons and has the cool screen tilt effect as sheath mentioned. But the thing that gets me every time are those KICK ASS PCM drums! I forgot how great they sound. Those have to be some of the cleanest most bombastic sounding drums on the Genny. I had to watch that video several times with my speakers cranked up.
The final level of Shadow Blasters always blew me away with it's over abundance of parallax clouds. The fact that it is set to Kim Songdongs epic soundtrack doesn't hurt either! Starts at 5:40

Scooby Doo Mystery uses software scaling to make the characters appear far away or close up, like most graphic adventure games. It doesn't look like Super Hang On style "scaling", using multiple preset sizes. It's honest to goodness scaling!
