Pretty good read Phantar, it's still nice to see these games no one else cares about get some attention.
I like basketball but have never been a fan of NBA Jam; I don't like the catch-up logic. So I'm already skeptical if it's a Jam-clone. I do like Jammit! (Genesis) and Looney Tunes Basketball (SNES), though, because they don't use the same kind of catch-up logic and play great.
I actual love this game. I need to play it again. (but not on a turnament. bad memorys about that.)
BUT: The player that you dont have in control throws the ball back to you if you press B.
What I loved about this game (beeing my first basketball game) is the possibility to play it in co-op.
And: Phantar you made me come back to this forum after about 2 years or so!
I actually like Shut Up and Jam. It's a pretty decent game. I bought a bulk lot of genesis games a couple years ago and this one happened to be in the mix. I gave it a shot now actually enjoyed it. although I do prefer NBA Jam
NBA Jam, it isn't, but it's good enough to guarentee some hours of fun. I love the variety of locations (my fav court is the one on a rooftop, and the Brooklyn one, with its pastel background palette) and beating Sir Charles and his real-life 'Tude to a pulp with one of the random players the game roster contains.
