No they thought "tape under lid to play Saturn with lid up" was a major mod ha. I sold 1 of those with exact same listing, but others were taken down. There would be no reason to void auction because of Action Replay tbh.

I don't think you understand the difference between market value and a deal. A working Model 1 Sega CD for $60 is a sweet deal. It's actually worth about $100 - $120. Market values are based on what prior sales have been, depending on supply and demand. It's not rocket science. You're free to never pay above a certain value for something. I was just warning you that you'll probably never find what you're looking for at the price you want, unless you score a deal from someone who doesn't know any better.

Yeah it's not rocket science, I never saw a working Sega CD Model at all the retro VG stores I go to sell it for more $70 in person since the 90s and claim it's worth $120 or "rare". The Market price on ebay is $70 avg. Some $60, some $80. Want links ?

They still sell at $120 online typically, which is probably why they don't often get listed for less.

This is all irrelevant anyway, unless you're buying a refurbished Model 1, that working system is a ticking time bomb that will break soon enough. I wouldn't recommend anyone buy an original unrefurbished Model 1 without the expectation of getting it fixed.
