model 1 Sega CD, DS and Saturn games

Unless noted otherwise, all games are in excellent condition and are complete or near complete.

Prices are shipped in the US via USPS. US only. PayPal gift payment only, otherwise regular PayPal + 2.9% + 30 cents. Buy several games and I'll shave off a few bucks.

Unit is in very good shape, though the rubber pads on the bottom are gone.

Its actually a decent price, a little high though. I bought my unit for $100. The model 1 is hard to find in good condition. Its also more rare than the more common model 2.

Only games I'd be interested in trading for are Contra Hardcorps, Castlevania Bloodlines, Hyperstone Heist, and Phantasy Star 4.

I agree that working Model 1 CD's are far and few between these days. And $120 is the correct market value on these.


However that sill doesn't mean it's worth it. They are nothing but problems.


OP should just list it on ebay. Let some poor sap pay $150+ for it only to find himself looking for drive belts and disc tray gears a week later.

My broken Model 1 CD sold for $90.

Model 1 Sega CDs should only be owned by people who can service them. Otherwise they'll be a constant finance drain, what with shipping costs and repair fees. I bought a broken one and fixed it for myself. It's a lot easier owning this system knowing I can fix it on my own.

Or fix it and go "Ah sweet", put it away and go back to using a model 2 lol!

Yeah, a normal person would do that, but I must say, it's a pretty luxurious feeling to drop a disc in a tray underneath the Genesis and press start on the controller to retract the tray. :D I use my Model 1 SCD for the time being, my Model 2 is not in use.

What can I say? I love using expensive stuff haha. :D There's a special feeling associated with enjoying things that are usually kept as collectors items. I even play my Neo Geo AES games! Video games are meant to be played, even expensive ones.

There was a angry, foreign asshole that created like 15 new threads because he was mad the mods wouldn't remove the comments people made about price. I was the first to reply to his thread trying to help and he was a total dick about it so it all went down hill from there. He pushed all of your threads off the first page so I put them back in the order they were already in.

some kid wanted to flog tmnt the hyperstone heist for $110
and then went in to a hissy fit because he got "unwanted" advice that nobody would buy the game at that price
and then after he was made fun off because fo his poor spelling and grammar ( dont look at me like that )

No, it has not sold yet. I may be selling all of my Genesis/SMS stuff soon and will probably try to bundle it.
