More Man power? Sure, that doesn't mean anything when you can't mobilize them to the other side of the world. The Large Army of man power is mostly obsolete these days. If you think the U.S. would enter China on foot your nuts, the amount of Nukes and bombers at a moments notice just waiting is staggering. The U.S. can hit any target on the planet within 15 mins.

Kind of interesting to see that attitudes are similar the world over. 'Dumb drafter'? Perhaps, but you are obviously more intelligent than many Chinese 'engineers'. :)

China has nukes too though don't they? I think at this point unless North Korea strikes first, isn't nuclear war is still out of the question because of mutually assured destruction?

That only works if their missile can hit every part of the USA, it doesn't work if they can only reach a coastline.

Mutually assured destruction only works when both sides know they can lay waste to all parts of the other sides land. I do not think they have the reach to achieve their goal, the USA on the other hand can turn their entire land into glass with pinpoint accuracy.

Even if they tried we have defensive measures to take most if not all of the missiles out of the sky, even if they tried flying over hear they would be taken down quite quickly.

North Korean propaganda usually depicts their soldiers running across the border, flag in hand, to conquer the South.

In the South they don't even patrol the border as much, and have set up advanced gun turrets.

I think we all know how it would look:

Nobody wants war but if NK attacks anything the is will take them apart. I doubt China would defend against the States as it would destroy any and all economic ties with us and the rest of the world.

Regarding china and taiwan, I'd gladly visit taiwan, I never want to visit china. I hope china and taiwan learn to get along. Here in toronto there's many many chinese and very few taiwanese. The few taiwanese I met I get along with far better than all the chinese people I met in this city.

China are increasingly trying to deepen the wests reliance on there vast raw materials and manufacturing, lately on tech sites the big news is the chinese governments been taking pot-shots at Apple, indicating a certain 'cockyness', much more than meets the eyes I think, probably a back room political move toward the US.

However good news I have read the other day is Japan has found a massive cache of raw precious minerals in the pacific, enough to presumably last a good 50 years, meaning Japan could be much more competitive with China in industry and technology provided the infrastructure is still large and stable enough.

It irks me seeing so many neuveu rich goverment official kids coming over here as of late, no regard for manners toward the locals or other ethnic communities in the area I live in. My girlfriend who is Hong Kong chinese often deals with these uncouth gits working at a local chinese restaurant. Rich mainlanders often talk down to HK born, or other asians (Malaysian, Taiwanese, etc.) and there frankly giving themselves a bad name.

Manufacturing via low labour standards and low wages, yes. Raw materials? Fuck no. Fossil fuels? Fuck no. China is currently growing, it's hungry and is buying up our resources and bitumen.
