Secret of Monkey Island never had voices. Not until the remake at least. Not even the CD release of SOMI had voices. Having voices done for a port wouldn't be cost effective. DOTT is too colorful and has too much animation to work on Sega CD.

I know it didn't have it and I know the cd version didn't have it, but other LA games had enhanced versions like Indy and Dott that added voices. Rise of the Dragon didn't have voices until Sega CD version. So putting that all together and finally playing the SoMI on Sega CD, I was curious WHY it didn't have voices. I am speaking from the 14 year old version of myself in 1994.
And Rise of the Dragon colors were a lot less than the PC version, but liked great and played great with TONs of voice data. Lowering the colors on DOTT, I don't see why it couldn't be done.
Disney may have accelerated what was inevitable, but it is sad to see LucasArts close. Their Star Wars games were more often miss then hit, but they did put out a few good ones, and had some quirky titles in the early days of gaming. I still have fond memories of Ballblazer. I'm always sad to see a classic developer bite the dust. RIP LucasArts.
Well shit, now all those old LucasArts games on my want list are going to skyrocket in price.
Thankfully I pretty much own all the ones I wanted.
Gametrailers has a nice little tribute to LucasArts.

I was really looking forward to 1313. It's such a shame the game may never be released.
LucasArts was a big part of my gaming history, with titles like Monkey Island, Jedi Knight II, Star Wars Battlefront 1&2, the SNES trilogy and Star Wars: Galaxies. I just recently picked up Tie Fighter on CD ROM, and I plan on playing it really soon.
This is the biggest loss for me as a gamer. LucasArts was one of my favorites and it's such a shame that it has to go away like this. :(
To me, Starwars: Droid Works will always be the best starwars game <3

RIP Lucas Arts. They were at one time, one of the truly great western developers. Their point and click games are legendary (Sam and Max Hit The Road! The Dig! Full Throttle! Everything Else!). The X-Wing, and TIE Fighter series weren't just great examples of the space combat sim genre, they were MASTERFUL.
This once proud, PC fanboy nerd just died a little inside. :Panda:
I wonder who will get to license the older games onto newer platforms in the future? Man, I hope it isn't EA....
And speaking again, a lot of the more remembered and known star wars games were the results of licensing. So It still kills me a bit, but brings back some smidge of hope >.<
