I would really like to be able to play Jang Pung 3 and Samgukji III (Sangokushi III) on real hardware.
Can anyone verify if they will run on a model 1 US SMS, or a Genesis with PCB?
What about flash carts? Will they run on a SMS Everdrive on any hardware combination, or with a Mega Everdrive? I know they won't work on a regular Everdrive, but I didn't know if that was a limitation on it or the Genesis console.
You would need to make a 44-pin to 50-pin adapter in either case. In addition, if you use a Master System, it will need to have its' bios disabled.Quote:

Some more games have surfaced/been dumped since then, mostly MSX ports and co-releases including my avatar's source, Super Boy I (or at least I assume that's why I didn't include it in my 2010 list).
You can see a tag-based list at SMSPower here, though when I tried to load the page just now I got a 503 error.
(In that list I also note that Jang Pung II, Jang Pung 3, and Sangokushi 3 all started up for me via EverDrive, but with massive graphics corruption; I don't think I've checked them since then, but at least that demonstrates that the graphics modes aren't TMS9918 since the game would've just black-screened.)

Looks like the only viable option would be real cart + Mark III converter for MD. Hunting these down is going to be a real treat :/
Before torturing yourself tracking those down, you might check with Krikzz. Since support for those mappers/hardware is well documented in various emulators, maybe it'd be easy for him to implement if he has the specs at hand?

Funny, didn't think to try... they work fine on the Mega Everdrive. Tried them both on the MED on my CDX. No problem... well, other than the fact that they're both sucky fighter games. :p :lol:Quote:
