Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures has been confirmed for Wii U sometime this summer. The game was recently greenlit on Steam after the release of the above trailer. As you can see, the game is a retro-inspired plaatformer that has a decidedly Metroidvania approach to gaming. The game will feature 10 levels of fast-paced gameplay and will feature content from the popular YouTube series created by JamesNintendoNerd also known as ‘the video game nerd’.
This game actually looks pretty good! I'm excited it's coming to Wii U for sure! 3DS should be interesting...

I don't think it looks bad or anything, and I'm a big fan of AVGN, but this looks really just like a game where they slapped his name and character on it, not a concept originally based on AVGN.

Kinda looks like it pays tribute to a bunch of NES games. So my thought is if AVGN was sucked into the "video game world" And here's what happens... Might be a little bit of a storyline like that.

A Game Sack game would be cool because you could chose to play as the Nintendo guy or the Sega guy and missions (and enemies) would be different as a result. I really like how they made my beard red. It does that in real life, not sure why.

For the best probably. Would you want to play a game where you sit around reviewing shitty games? Maybe they could have had him battling bad games and his weapon could be profanity?
Even if this's a blatent mega ripoff, it looks fun, don't expect me to pay for it though. Yes I'd love a gamesack version even though I don't watch gamesack (just not my sort of show).

No. I'd think of a game which is inspired by what makes the bad games, and the challenge is to overcome these bad gameplay features by his nerd traits. But I guess that's a lot harder to do than a straightforward sidescroller.

That could be used for a "power up" indicator, the redder the beard the more "power" or special attacks available. Not sure about the other guy though.
