EA currently has no games in development for the wii U
well despite ones feelings about EA ( satan spawn ) that cant be good news for the wii U
im getting shades of the dreamcast here now all of a sudden
I wouldn't count Nintendo out yet. We have to see how they'll fair after they begin releasing some of their anticipated first party titles and if it has any effect on their install base. A few first party titles that really showcase the unique aspects of the console can go a long way to riding another hype train! tOOt tOOt!

I am not sure if I mentioned this on the forum but the initials library of games that were released for the Wii U have not done the console justice. One of the glaring mistakes Nintendo made was not releasing a killer game that would have captured the attention of not only consumers but game developers as well. In my opinion, had Nintendo released a complete game based on that Zelda tech demo, they would have sold alot more units and it would have staved off criticism! But they didn't and people are really left wondering about the console's capabilities.
luigi's mansion 2 woudl have been a great show case for the wii u not the 3ds
nintendo is currently just teasing with promises but no substance just names of games that will get released 3 years down the line with out so much a screen shot or a trailer
what it needs what it really needs is a killer ap as you said
and the new new new its really new this time "new" super mario bros just doesnt cut it
a new full 3d game ( like luigi mansion 2 ) a new smash bros or f zero or mario kart that woudl do it that would be an incentive
cause now peopel are wondering what the hell they bought it for
and despite personal opinions about EA this is a worruing development if one of the biggest developer publisher pulls out of the console
Are you a Nintendo shareholder? Why should you be worried? If you want to play the umpteenth iteration of Nintendo's usual franchises the Wii U is for you; for everyone else we have the other platforms.
RIP Nintendo etc.
If Luigi's Mansion 2 or Dark Moon is able to light a fire under the 3DS, I'd expect nothing less than a boost for the Wii U when the big titles are released.

You know I was contemplating the 3DS but those game prices are just ridiculous. For one 3DS game, regardless of its quality, I can get several Android (or iOS) games that will get me better mileage. EA dropped the online pass. Their accountants are good at figuring out the bottom line aspect of things, even if their execs are dirtbags. The Wii U to them is not a good investment. The Dreamcast was also not a smart investment if you were a third party publisher looking for a large userbase. People wrote off the DS when the PSP first came out, but things turned out very different indeed. Maybe if MS and Sony screwed up people would consider the Wiiuuu again.Quote:
