Pretty soon, it's getting hard to deny lately the the Wii U is a bit of a failure really.

I know that not having EA support was one of the things that certainly didn't help the Dreamcast, but I don't think it really matters so much for the Wii U.
Those who want to play Madden, Mass Effect, and most other EA IPs right now are going to play them on the PS3 and 360. I don't even think they were huge system sellers for the original Wii were they?
Were most of you people not aware of the 3DS when it was released? It had a long dry spell of no games for a long time. It wasn't until about a year after release that it started getting decent games, and 2 years total before the system got up to full speed with great games. The exact same thing is happening to the Wii U. I expect the good games to start really pouring out by Christmas this year, then maybe summer after that for the killer titles.
which is why i keep harping on a price drop for the wii U
299\349 is just way too much

Well developers don't want to spend a lot of time and money on consoles that have a very small install base. As a console manufacturer you have to get people excited about the hardware and it's impact on gaming capabilities. Nintendo failed terribly at this task this time around.. They haven't moved nearly enough consoles and with the new and much superior Sony and Microsoft consoles about to launch I can't blame EA for not wanting to develop for the WiiU.. Not only that but it's running a PowerPC architecture so porting games to it will be even more costly.. Why do that for a console that has relatively low 3rd party sales and a low install base? I don't see Nintendo doing very well this time around. Hopefully this isn't their Dreamcast.
The only thing that can save the WiiU now is for them to make a Metroid Prime 4 game that needs that Oculus Rift VR thingy!
Then with a special Samus arm cannon attachment gaming will be saved as we roam the worlds of Metroid in VR!

Yeah EA made a few good games, too bad they suck(the company) too though.
Maybe we will finally see a real new "tecmo bowl".
Sports games are all hype anyhow(to me).
The only ones that were good to me were Tecmo Bowl, Tecmo Super Bowl, NFL Football '94, And NFL2k.
Now mascot sports games are where its at, Mario Tennis Ect.
With todays graphics you can hardly tell a real basketball game from a video game.
Here's another thing, Who wants to watch T.V. sports anyway? More less pay to play to play a video game of one.
Especially when they are the cheapest used games ever.
Name one sports video game, that was mass marketed and popular at the time, that has stayed its value or even come close.
Not counting track meet or some obscure cart.
