SEGA of Japan this whole time hasn't released ANYTHING for Wii U, the fact that its old Yakuza PS2 ports, means its a cash in, REAL cheap cash in.

As For Sonic Lost Worlds, not much yet about it is known , considering SOE registered the domain, it might have been developed in Europe.

The fact that this whole time SEGA's Wii U support has been almost barren, this screams "desperation" on Nintendo's part.

I suspect that even this will backfire on Wii U and that Sega will even drop the platform.

I'll just wait for the inevitable PS4/Xbox I or whatever release.

Like I said, desperation. The game will likely sell but Wii U sales are still going to be dismal.

I recall Zachary Morris telling me 2 years ago that a new Sonic Storybook game for Wii U was in development.

Looks like he was right.

I knew it! I knew Sonic Team wasn't involved and that it was Sega of Europe that SEGA of Japan isn't pandering to Nintendo fans. And look at this, like Bayonetta 2, SEGA isn't publishing them!

That's publishing, not development. So basically instead of Sega publishing the European and Australian games Nintendo will publish them. They are probably doing that so if the sales in those regions are poor due to low Wii U sales, Nintendo will take the financial damage, not Sega. That's actually a pretty nice deal for a third party developer when you think of it. The US and Japanese regions will still be published by Sega.

Please learn to read. Nothing in that post states that Sonic Team and Sega aren't involved in the games development.

If anything, I consider the more shocking news to be how polarized this has made the web. It shows that sonic still has immense brand power despite a joke status the internet assigned to him.

Apparently this sonic announcement alone is what brought GAF down =x.

I also find it laughable how one is criticizing Sega of cashing in just now. It's like they've ignored the billion version of Sonic games that have been re-released over the past decade and a half.
