That explains why Sega isn't handling publishing and distribution of the titles. They've got complete 100% quality control,royalties and will receive a giant piece of the pie from returns and sales while if the game doesn't sell well, Nintendo will take the brunt not SEGA.

Ingenious new 3rd party retail strategy that really would have helped several years earlier. More indicators of a complete change in company business structure.

Great job SEGA! Because you won't be losing money on returns, the publisher will.

As for Infinity, yeah that's gonna be tough for Nintendo. Not to mention the fact that the games are certainly NOT going to move Wii Us since the console's install base will the only ones buying the game.

Actually, its just a port of the Yakuza 1&2 collection for PS3 last year. In fact a carbon copy that might not even be published by Sega.

Nintendo is only handling publishing and distribution in the European and Australian Regions. Sega still has to pony up for the US and Japan.

They probably may not in Japan since this is a SOE property.

Even so, this would only be the 3rd Sega published title on Wii U. Which for Nintendo is pitiful.

I wish they would let Nintendo make the Sonic game also. It might actually be good then.

This is exactly why PR wise, this publishing partnership is a BAD idea. It raises hyperbole on people's incorrect precieved notions about SEGA.

I dont know if I like this Sega Nintendo partnership. It sounds good and they must of had talks going on for awhile before making this public but I wonder is Sega is shitting themselves now that WiiU doesnt seem to be doing so good. Anyone see Nintendo of Americas twitter feed? They are aggressively pushing all these new games coming to WiiU and its honesly making me excited for it. I hope it helps out

You're right. This was already set in motion during Mike Hayes tenure 2 years ago.

If SEGA decides NOT to publish them everywhere (which is assured looking at Wii U's install base and dismal sales).

As far as I'm concerned, a Sonic Wii U game being a game changer is too little, too late. It would have made sense leading up to the console's launch, but the system is now half a year old. If MH3 couldn't turn things around, Sonic Lost Worlds will barely make a dent. Sales of the game might be good, but it isn't going to help Wii U's poor sales in the face of Xbox Infinity and to some extent, PS4.

Almost every Nintendo game, good or bad, is slow as shit. They couldn't make a fast-pasted game to save their lives.

Do you guys think Sonic Lost World will be or have parts (easter eggs) of Sonic XTreme or have other canceled past Saturn Sonic bits or ideas ?

Well being it's called Sonic Lost World, maybe it will have a revamp 360 gravity (Sonic Xtreme) level or something or maybe like some games when you go to certain parts you can play older Sonic level (like in Ninja Gaiden on XBox you can play NES ones) or in Sonic Collection on Saturn it has the 3d little extra world option (think from another failed Sonic Saturn attemp just thrown in as a little bonus world there). Just figured I'd ask, like when you asked "do you think sfa is possible on md". Well, why wouldn't it ? SFA2 was on SNES so sure MD could handle a mirror or slightly lesser version.
