Didn't Sony just buy Dave Perry's cloud gaming company? Yeah I wouldn't believe a word they say. Can anybody find a more detailed specs comparison between the PSFOOOOOUR and the Xbox Won than this? That isn't a lot of information.

So they'll both be mainly Cloud based, but Xbox One will have Wi-Fi direct.

Skype, smartglass, and windows integration, dedicated on demand channels and interactive features, EA Sports partnership.

I assume the 360 will get relaunched as the add on & come down in price. Sony & Nintendo are about to get schooled in big business money hatting. I'm sold on this as much as the PS4.

E3 needs to get here. Xbox One, PS4, New Alienware hardware & potential Steambox, Ouya sucking dicks for attention out in the parking lot, Nintendo struggling to sell a $99 experience for $350. Exciting!

I feel totally unconcerned by the Xbox One announcement.
Last console I bought brand new was a Sega Genesis model II almost 20 years ago.
Next one will be the Ouya, It will be able to emulate arcade games and potentially replace my trusty Xbox one for this task.. Omg.. I mean original xbox...

Ouya's shitting all over it's launch window, trying to fill orders.

I don't mind the name, it's actually alright. I take my hat off to them for, even though they included a gimmick, it's an optional gimmick and shouldn't get in the way of traditional games; Nintendo this what you should of fucking done - gave us a choice, not force a shitty gimmick down our throats and tell us to deal with it.

But, the news of having to install games and no secondhand games is a dealbreaker. I'll pick one up years from now, when the thing's been cracked open and on the cheap.

That controller does look nice though, I defo be picking one up to replace my 360 pad as my main PC joypad. :mrgreen:

I recall a big deal being made when the AMD Phenom 6 cores were released, and tech sites talked about getting 1 billion transistors for a decent price. I would guess that because this thing's probably using an APU that it is a combination of CPU/GPU to get that number.

Also, I buy too many used games... account locking games are a deal breaker here.

Now, wait a second. Doesn't that mean there is some kind of authentication? So that means that you DO need to be online to play a game, or at least to start it right? Doesn't that also mean that we don't get to keep our bought games for ever, since they depend on authentication servers? Because i don't think these server will last forever. So, no XBOX One for future retro gamers then?

correct. Microsoft confirmed on their twitter that "you don't need to be online to play games, but an internet connection is required for the Xbox One"

meaning you'll need to be online to authenticate, presumably at least once.

I don't get it. Why buy one of those things instead of builting a powerfull PC that can play all those new games?
I mean, there's hardly any exclusives to one plataform or another these days.

So thanks Microsoft, i'll stick with my Dreamcast.

Exclusives, price, and convenience.

Microsoft will moneyhat their way into everybody's living rooms with exclusive games and TV show access. They'll probably sell the console cheaply on a contract with cable and cell phone carriers. They can easily dominate the US market with what they've shown so far, what remains if for them to show that they care about Europe and other markets, aggressively offering them similar exclusive content. I doubt Microsoft will do it though. The US & UK are all that matters to them. Even us Canadians, who were traditionally just a part of the "US" market, have been getting shafted by Microsoft's access to games on xbox live, and our prices have been completely ridiculous. $10-$20 higher than normal in some cases.
