Wii U has bombed, PS4 is a Facebook Box, and Xbox One is Big Brother. What????

When I was a kid in the late 90s, and I envisioned how awesome games were going to get in the future, THIS WAS NOT WHAT I HAD IN MIND.


Wii U - What a sad pathetic piece of junk this is. Did Nintendo even try with this console? No games, and it's the only machine actually made for gaming. Nintendo broke so many promises they could be sued for false advertising, a console barely stronger than an 8 year old system, no third party support to be found, dev kits gathering dusts, horrible sales, slow OS that still doesn't work as well as it should.

PS4 Or the Sony Facestation - Basically a 400 dollar box to log onto Facebook. Huge, intrusive, annoying wall spam and likes and shares await you on this device. 100 people will die tonight unless you kiss the person you love at midnight. This might be cool if you actually have friends on your friends list, but 99% of the world just adds random strangers on the internet, it's just weird and creepy to see someone using a PS4 as their main social hub, and nobody is going to bother doing it.

Xbox 1984 I-mean One - Not only do we have forced game installs and a required internet connect (it must be connected once in 24 hours or it will not work) you've now got Kinect spying on it's users, as well as being forced to use Kinect. Yes I'm sure thousands of families everywhere will love the Xbox One spying on their daughters at night. Now in todays world people should be used to cameras in their face and being spied on, but fully knowing that your Xbox is doing it and there's nothing wrong with it is downright weird.

But the games will be great! Oh yes, I cannot wait to play brown and grey shooter #21949. Game sales have been plummeting every year, in fact just last year they were down by 22%. Without your brown and grey shooters the industry would literally be dead.

Meanwhile my Sega Genesis sits on the shelf, and you know what it does. PLAY GAMES. Thing was built in 1989 and still plays games just as well it did back then, this thing has been playing games longer than I have been alive.

Too early to say, but I have high hopes for the PS4. Sony regained its stride with the PS3, so I expect them to gain momentum with the PS4 with the amount of developer support it has.

How did Sony regain its stride with the PS3? The PS2 sold over a hundred million units while the PS3 had a muddy launch and a poor motion controller attempt. The PS3 was indeed a step down and so many console revisions and poor backwards comparability it just was troublesome in comparison the the PS2

That bar was set pretty high. Pretty much most everything if judged by PS2 standards is a failure.

Sounds cool either way! "Prionic" is a little meaner than "bionic". And to call someone a "cipher"... Ouch. Of course, I was kidding when I said it.

I didn't word that very well. I understand your perspective on it. I loved the PS1 and PS2, but didn't get into the PS3 until 2008/2009.

The PS3 had a rough start, but the last couple of years were a strong comeback. I've been playing my PS3 a lot lately. Sony has been making great decisions with developers, publishers, and PSN. It makes me look forward to what PS4 can offer to compliment the PS3/Vita.

I think he's saying that after the initial missteps they finally got back into the swing of things.

the ps 3 has shifted 77 million units
i cant really call that failure ( even if sony has been bleeding money for years with the ps 3 )

but no direct reference from the topic starter to his age

I buy PS4 maybe ONLY when it allows Estonian to use cards well.PS3 was so shit, I was NO way able to buy PSN games, do what I want,nothing worked, no paypal, no bank card.... and I dont want to buy our shops overpaid products....

You might try making a JP or US PSN account. I use Japan Codes to get codes for JP PSN yen cards. I've downloaded some brilliant games for cheap compared to scarce physical versions.

Well... I can almost say for sure, the next generation of consoles isn't even worth it. Get a equally expensive computer and you will have more fun with it.

Doesnt help. It understands when bank card doesnt = with the country. My bankcard Swedank is Estonian, my PSn is Finland. I tried to change Swedbanks county to finland, still didn't help.

Only reason I'd get one of the upcomming gen of consoles would be if Ps4 got good reviews and if they finally released "Last Guardian" for it >:C
