So, Mr. Ballmer, what do you thinK?
So, Mr. Ballmer, what do you thinK?
Remember when the market had the SNES, MD, CD-i, Amiga, 3DO, 32X, Saturn, PS1, NeoGeo, Jaguar, TurboGrafx and a handful of handhelds competing for a much smaller userbase? Things were muddy as hell back then as well. The 3DO was an abysmal investment at $700. Of course nowadays it's more consolidated and providers can screw with their customers more freely. Change is the only constant, and it needn't be for the better.
Does microsoft really want to watch people fap that badly?
I think I'm the only one who likes that Xbox One looks like a VCR from the 80's.
I don't know if I want one but I like how it looks.
They want to push products on you whatever may come.
It really figures that this is a GKDAIR post, I mean all you have to read is the first sentence and you know this is GKDAIR.
The Xbox One is probably going to suck.
The PS4's actually looking good and of their 3 PS consoles, all of them have been fantastic, I'm sure this one will be too, plus it's far too early to judge.
The Wii U, are you that ignorant? Oh wait, we already know you are. You're ignoring all those great exclusives coming to the Wii U, Bayonetta 2, Game & Wario, a new Mario Kart, a new Super Smash, a new Mario 3D platformer, Fire Emblem X Shin Megami Tensei, Pikmin 3, New Super Luigi U, a new Legend of Zelda, Zelda Wind Waker HD, The Wonderful 101, Yoshi Yarn, the problem was that it came out too early, not that it's bad. Yes, the system's not very powerful, but what matters most is the games, which it will certainly have a ton of good ones soon.
All Nintendo needs to do now is release a couple of first party killer apps.
As a kid of the 90s this does not affect me at all.
I agree with the OP. I have this nagging feeling that the price tag of PS4 is going to turn people off and when Sony finally starts talking about Gaikai, gamers will stop singing its praises and realize their being conned, that PS4 is no different from Xbox One, its just Streamed via Fiber Optic.
Wii U is doomed. NOTHING can save it. Gamers and casuals have already made up their minds. They say "No Thanks".
Xbox One sounds confusing, but I've got this nagging feeling Microsoft will have a grand time marketing this Apple TV wannabee to the mainstream.
The only thing it'll do is get more Nintendo fans on board. Dear God, why do people seem to think that Nintendo can continue to get away with selling tired ass reheated franchises on the Wii U?
Super Mario Bros. U should be evidence that the strategy no longer works.
Sony's stocks increased in the same manner.
The question is what the reasoning behind this is.

Except that it had nothing to do with the Xbox One reveal and EVERYTHING to do with this:

The stock increase was nothing more than a mere coincidence.
Gaming is still awesome. The industry is more than just the retail console market.
