Pretty much, I don't think he's going to be here long.
^ hope springs eternal
course because we dont agree with him and his nonsense he might jump ship to another forum where he does get all the sycophantic support for his opion he expects
but he might just stick around to spite us
Know what would be cool? Not being passive aggression and demolish his claims instead.
Well I for one am ready for this new generation of consoles, Let them come!

You'll neverrrrr take mah rrrrrights!
Wow, this is hilarious and kind of awesome . . . and sad. :p
And on that note, it seems like it's currently up 875% in the UK.
This also reminds me of one of the big points Mike Katz brought up regarding the first 2 years of the Genesis: a lot of consumers are going to "wait and see" what the major players are going to come out with for competition (in that case the SNES) and then make their decisions on what to buy. (and Katz argued that was one of the major contributing factors for the Genesis's sales boom in 1991)
Well, I'd say more like they waited too long. Nintendo could have pushed hardware basically identical to the Wii U back in 2010 without the gamepad at a reasonable price point and had modestly superior hardware for the time and a big jump over the outdated Wii hardware (which had done its job at that point and could easily have been shifted into the budget niche to complement a new platform). It'd have been on the market soon enough that the hardware trade-offs with the 360 and PS3 would have been more reasonable and given more time for 3rd parties to take interest and optimize multiplat games for.
THEN Nintendo could have added in the gamepad later on as an option, or (perhaps better) specifically purposed the 3DS to have similar connectivity features as such.
Had they done that, by this point they could be taking it easy and planning a powerful successor for the near-future. (like 2014)
Oh, but tech-issues aside, the biggest problem by far for Nintendo currently is their confusing marketing. From a lay person's PoV, many of the ads make it look like the Wii U IS JUST THE GAMEPAD and not an entirely new console. (they neither touch upon the fact it's a new console or the technical merits "nextgen grafx" etc)
Albeit, that issue would have been avoided entirely had they launched the system earlier and without the gamepad. :p
If that eventuates, then that sucks too, but it might mean another boost for Nintendo. :p
The console I'm most excited for is the retron 5.
im somewhat interested in it
even if it looks cheap and tacky
