All the posts about how "it's too long and I didn't read it, post it on a blog, etc." are indeed mild insults. Common and easily ignored stuff, but not anything actually needed or worth saying. Some forums ban that "tl;dr" stuff for exactly that reason.

thats very nice and all

but i never said that either

i asked if it was a forum post or an essay and then continued to say that the snes is a great console and nothing more

so once again i am left wondering why i am the one that endeds up getting singeld out and insulted while my orginal post was not even an insult

AFAIK, it is 100% inspired on the NES/Famicom Arkanoid paddle controller:

Just fyi, Taito also did a "vaus controller" for the MSX.
I'm not sure which came first the Famicom or MSX version. Likely they were developed in tandem.

Ah, that's a bummer. I guess the the Genesis remains the only system of that generation to do fully 3D polygonal gameplay without cart-chip assistance then.

I must spread some rep around before giving it to you again Black Falcon. It's a shame too because I love your game review threads. I can't say I agree with all of your SNES opinions, but damnit, I love reading them. I look forward to your next system.

about the snes I have only one interesting thing to say: uncharted waters new horizons. one of the best games ever made and ti doesn't get much recognition at all. has anyone played it here? when I first played it it reminded me of pirates! for the amiga, which is also one of the best games ever made

Because barone and black falcon are like that. They recently claimed I was trolling for saying "the first picture looks 100x better".

I updated the list with a bunch of small changes to some reviews (F-Zero, Aladdin, ActRaiser, Carrier Aces, The Peace Keepers, etc.), and added one review of a game I have but that had accidentally been missing from the list of titles to review, Darius Twin. It's got two player co-op, but otherwise is bland, average, and not very interesting. Its sequel Darius Force/Super Nova is a far better game.

Huh? Both games are by Gremlin, they share some staff (look them up on Mobygames), and the IndyCar game released 1-2 years after World Championship Racing. It's pretty clearly a sequel of sorts.

But as I said all of the 4th gen versions had simplifications. The SNES version may have been made a bit easier, but I think it's great that they managed to keep the two player mode... but anyway, if you want an accurate conversion, as I said you really need a 5th or beyond gen port, such as the PS1 or (sound aside) Jaguar.

I don't think I got that far... not sure why I stopped playing, I may think it's definitely not as good as Micro Machines games, but RC Pro-Am's style is decently good too.
