Tough boss, but I beat them without grinding. After you have a good set of abilities (specially the combo ones), there's almost always a way. Simply fighting every individual battle till a point (there's no random battles, but some repeat, I consider grinding to be repeated fights in this case) will put your characters strong enough to barely beat the bosses, which is good since it makes for a good challenge. But Chrono Trigger, man that game was like the ultimate mix between the best of the Japanese and the West.
the time travel story was very cool, the characters really worked well together, and you could even tell that they were becoming friends.
the music was amazing too, and the art direction was different but not belt belt belt emo annoying.
It saddens me you don't like it, to me that's like saying you don't like a very famous book, just makes me want to grab you and say "but you're missing out!!!"
