Looks like attempt at humor failed...
Pretty much dude.
It shouldn't make the game any more playable, it's just running in fast forward with no new frames.
My biggest problem with Stunt Race FX wasn't the frame rate, but the gameplay. Most of the cars felt cumbersome and hard to control, and running off road was way too big a hit on your speed. If you went too far then it took forty forevers to get back on the track. Things did get better when you started unlocking better cars though. Super Off Road Baja was my favorite, framerate challenged SNES racer.
Another controversial opinion - here are some things from the '80s and '90s you should have played if you want your opinions on gaming history to matter:
3d Atari Lynx games
Stuff like Blue Lightning and STUN Runner. While the Game Boy and Game Gear were giving us graphically watered down console games, the Lynx was giving us a more unique experience with hardware scaling on the go.
The Vectrex
It has its own sharp monitor, a sturdy analog joystick, and comes with smoothest playing Asteroids clone of its time built in. It's pretty amazing for 1982 and still fun today. Even if you don't have access to the real thing, at least try an emulator to get an idea of it.
Space Megaforce
A contender for Compile's best shooter. It especially stands out on SNES given the system isn't as highly regarded for the genre by hardcore gamers as the Turbo and Genesis.
Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap
An action-adventure masterpiece with a lot of gameplay and scenery variety. It would be ridiculous to analyze the NES/7800/SMS gen without having played it but a lot of people do.
SunDog: Frozen Legacy
Elite hogs the attention for early sandbox space exploration but this was more advanced in a lot of ways, particularly the ST version. You could exit your vehicle to walk around, and the drag-and-drop interface was ahead of its time. I wouldn't expect most people to want to play through it but I think it should at least be tried.
Lazy Jones
In 1984, this was like a history of action video games up to that point rolled into one package. It was a large selection of mini-games tied together, and with one of the most complex and memorable soundtracks available.
Kenseiden
One of the deepest and most well crafted action platformers of it time rewarding exploration with optional moves and character upgrades to discover and train for.
Tron Deadly Discs
One of the earliest licensed games developed in tandem with a movie, and it's still a contender for best one (Intellivision version).
Ultima Underworld
Arguably the most ambitious spin off game ever. It was the start of the Looking Glass Studios tradition of first-person 3d simulations that encouraged players to solve problems creatively instead of having just having one or two solutions available.
Suzuki Bakuhatsu
Because it's wacky Japanese bomb diffusing and just might be the coolest puzzle game of the 32-bit era along with No One Can Stop Mr. Domino.
Pitfall II: Lost Caverns
Both a testament to how far the old VCS hardware could be pushed and also a landmark title for platform-adventures.
Neo Geo Pocket Fighters
It felt like it took forever for portable fighting games to really hit their stride but they finally did on NGP. Match of the Millenium's especially awesome.
Planescape: Torment
A sacred cow for PC gamers but ignored by plenty of console gamers that unfairly dismiss it as just another D&D game.
Crush pinball series
Alien Crush was a huge leap forward for video pinball, Devil's Crush expanded the concept with more variety, and Jaki Crush is also worth checking out.
Love me some Super Aleste, but there's no way it's better than Spriggan or MUSHA.
Oh, and your opinion on Pitfall II doesn't count if you didn't play the Atari 5200 version. :)
Of course I have played all the different versions of Pitfall II. ;) Back in the day, I preferred the C64 port but nowadays I don't like its slower gameplay compared to the Atari versions.
Pitfall II is best played on an Atari XE. It's the same as the 5200 version, but with a non-shitty controller.
One of the best SMS games by far, if not the best.
Seconded here too. The first time I ever truly enjoyed a fighter was playing KoF R2 on this system, and Match of the Millenium is definately a killer app.Quote:

I wish there were more modern pinball video games which expanded on the action-pinball concept.Quote:

Sundog sounds kind of cool. I'll have to check it out if I can. Too bad the remake failed to launch.
