Yes I agree

Others already said what I have to say, so no point me going there.
Down to opinion.

What? How so? If I try commit a crime, I either get a bounty (if caught) or get away with it (if not caught). If I complete a quest, I get gold. If I fail said quest, I can no longer go back and play it, thus a consquence to my actions. What more do you want?
Simple answer: Perks. And yes, they do matter and are very useful.
So how do you suppose they handle exiting from said cave -- making the player turn round and go back on themselves? Walk those "good two miles" again? It's a game for damn sake, of course they're not going to do that.
Acquiring more perks in a certain class makes certain tasks easier, it's just the way Skyrim does things and I see no wrong in it. Again, down to opinion and all that.
This I don't get. You clearly hate the game with a passion, yet you (alledgly) sank alot of time in playing it. Who the hell does that? I might play a game for 20 mins and I give up on it, maybe I might push on and give up later. 4 Hours max. But 150 hours? Bullshhiiiiiiiitttttttttttttttt.
He's probably wasted over 400 hours typing about how much he hates things.
The Epoch SCV had some games with battery backup earlier if you want to hate the game more. ;) I thought the first Zelda was quite brilliant, myself.Quote:

- Fist II and The Last Ninja on C64 deserve as much praise as popular NES action-adventures of that time period like Zelda and Metroid.
- Most people that hate modern gaming and praise older gaming are narrow-minded hypocrites that avoid most of the awesome pre-NES games out there.
- People need to stop numbering console generations without specifying what systems they're referring to. Console generations can be messy and there's no single right answer to how many generations there have been. It seems many people here count Colecovision-5200-Vectrex as the same gen as the NES-7800-SMS which doesn't make sense to most older gamers that lived through those years.
- Konami has never made a great beat 'em up.
- Bionic Commando (2009) is one of the best 2d to 3d transitions for a franchise.
about generations this is how i see it
1 : maganvox odyssy and pong
2 : atari 2600 vectrex intellivision colecovision 5200
3 : nes sms 7800
4 : megadrive snes pc engine ( and derivatives ) jaguar cdi 3d0 pippin
5 ps 1 saturn n64
6 dreamcast ps2 xbox gamecube
7 wii xbox 360 ps3
8 wii u xbox one ps 4
im sure i forgot quite a lot of consoles but this is not a be all end all list
I don't put the 1982 consoles in the same gen as '70s consoles. The 5200 was meant to be the 2600's successor even though it ended up with a short life span and had similar games. And those 1982 consoles never ended up competing directly with the NES and SMS which is why they don't fit nicely there either. They were years apart in the West. In Japan where the Famicom came out much earlier, I guess the Bandai Vectrex was competing with it. And Sega's situation with both the SG-1000 and later the Mark III being Famicom competitors screws the generation categories up nicely as well. So, that's why I think numbering console gens doesn't work well. They can vary depending on the criteria used.
i tend to put the early 80's consoles with the 70's consoles because it was such a sharp cut when comapred to the nes and sms
where as the 80\82 consoles are mostly concerned with arcade ports sports games and shoot em ups and clones of clones
the nes and sms have games that have a defined beginning middle and ending a goal to work too
the whole of gaming just leapt forward with the nes and sms
where as the vectrex is just a victim of poor placing and release time ( ie just as the american market crashed and the european market surged towards the home computers )
Some of my controversial opinions:
- 3DO > N64
- Saturn >>> N64
- PS1 > Saturn
- Mega Drive + Mega CD > PC Engine + CD Expansions
- Sony Dual Shock controllers are shite.
- N64 controller is crap.
- PS1 is a competent 2D machine.
- International Superstar Soccer Deluxe > Sensible Soccer >>> FIFA 16-bit series
- Mega Drive sound >>> SNES sound
- SNES MKII is extremely overhyped.
- Out Of This World on the Sega CD is much better than on the 3DO.
- PS1 NFS > Saturn NFS >>> 3DO NFS
- Eternal Champions: Challenge from the Dark Side (Sega CD) >> Killer Instinct (SNES)
- Most of the PS2 compilations are shite and just piss poor emulation.
- Mega Drive version of The Punisher is utter crap.
- Golden Axe III > Golden Axe II
- Most of EA catalog on the Genesis/Mega Drive has terrible framerate and bloody awful sound.
- Most of Genesis/Mega Drive sports games don't worth a single penny.
- Devil Crash MD > Devil Crash (PCE)
- Final Fantasy series is crap.
- Resident Evil series on the PS1 is probably the most overrated one, EVER.
- Flashback (Genesis/Mega Drive) > Flashback (Jaguar) >>> Flashback (SNES)
- Pitfall (Sega CD) > Pitfall (SNES) > Pitfall (Genesis) > Pitfall (Jaguar) >>> Pitfall (32X)
- Batman Returns on the Genesis is pure garbage. The same for Chakan.
That shouldn't be controversial. The 3DO version has uglier backgrounds than other versions.Quote:

Also, 3DO's soundtrack is kinda off IMO.
I'm not sure anybody thinks Batman Returns on Genesis is any good do they? I played all the way through it repeatedly in anticipation of the Sega CD game, but man is that game tough to enjoy, ugly and hard to listen to. Aside from that I agree with all of Barone's assessments provided we're talking about the worldwide Saturn and PS1 libraries and not just the US ones. Also, what's better about PS1 Need for Speed compared to the Saturn version, aside from the lighting?
I'm curious on the reasoning for the rankings of this. I was never a big fan of Mayan Adventure compared to the old Pitfall games so I never closely compared the various versions back when it came out. But recently I have been meaning to give the game another try.Quote:
