Never played SimHealth, but I really hated the likes of SimFarm, SimTown, etc. Did anyone actually think those were good?
SimEarth is way underrated though.
Streets of Sim City and Sim Copter came about at a time when Maxis leadership were desperately trying to expand out of the simulation niche, and rushing out unfinished games for a quick buck. Sim Copter was a novel concept that could have turned out a lot better had it been given more time. It was ironically EA who saved Maxis from itself at that time.
Yes exactly this. I hated the first Sims because there wasn't much freedom. It also had a single player and I always got stuck on the level where you need to take care of your mother.
Sims 2 was great for me. Played many hours and got a bunch of add-ons. Made my friends' families in there and had great times. I was so looking forward to Sims 3 after seeing the videos and reviews. I waited until it was on sale on Steam to get it and I was kinda disappointed. It isn't as good as Sims 2. Maybe because my Sims can get "lost" and be in random places around town and doing their own thing. It seems like the sims in Sims 3 are more dependent on you than the ones in Sims 2. But maybe I haven't put enough time into it yet.
As far as other games go, I remember liking SimAnt when it came out but I haven't played it since.
i was also very dissapointed with the sims 3
it felt a lot more basic then the sims 2 and more of a step back to the sims 1
i cant say i am looking forward to sims 4 anymore
